Thunder and Lightning

I shot forward. Straight for Gajeel. He was a pain to deal with at the moment. I had to get rid of him if I ever wanted to fight Laxus with any unwanted distractions. I would have to deal with Natsu later. Gajeel didn't see me coming. I kicked off the ground and did a spinning kick to the back of his head.

He stumbled forward and spun toward me with his iron arm already aiming for me. I did a back flip and avoided the blow. I landed on my hand and pushed off the ground. I straightened my leg and slammed my foot into his chest. He didn't move but instead threw a series of punches at me.

I dodged each blow with ease. Gajeel was strong but he wasn't as fast. I went low and punched him in an uppercut strike under his jaw. Gajeel's head snapped back just as fire shot between us. I glanced to my left to see Natsu, who's body was completely engulfed in flames.

Laxus and him were facing off against one another. Laxus didn't have a scratch on him while Natsu looked like he had taken a massive beating.

Something inside me flared to life. Something that I had never felt before. It was like I needed to be beside him. To help him. I didn't like this new feeling. I was snapped out of my thoughts when Gajeel's iron fist came an inch away from hitting me in the face.

I leaned back just in time and shot up straight. I kicked off the ground and so did Gajeel. Lightning flashed across the sky and thunder boomed all around us. Laxus's doing, no doubt. Gajeel and I locked eyes with each other in midair. Gajeel flew toward me and I to him. We both clashed together in the air.

I gripped the collar of his shirt and balled up my fist. I struck and hit him in the face. Gajeel countered by bringing his foot up and turning it into iron. He kicked out and hit me in the stomach. I made a choking sound and flew away from him. As we began to both fall back to earth I grimaced and shook my hand.

Punching him was a no go.

Damn iron.

Now I knew why Natsu called him Metal Face.

Gajeel laughed and sent a flurry of iron punches. I crossed my arms in front of myself to block them. Each time they hit my arms I gritted my teeth to stop from crying out. I hated iron. Once he had stopped I flew back to him. I roundhouse kicked him in the head and grabbed onto the front of his shirt again.

We began to fall faster. This was going to hurt. But I had no other choice. I balled up both my fists and punched him again and again. Over and over I landed a blow. His nose started to bleed and his eye became swollen. I didn't stop though. Gajeel tried to block but I punched him in the shoulder and I heard a soft crack. I had dislocated his shoulder blade.

He gritted his teeth and brought up his other arm. I grabbed his arm and twisted it in front of him. He growled and kicked me in the back. I cried out and let go of my hold on him. The ground was coming at us fast. I took a breath and kicked off of him. My kick made Gajeel fall to the ground faster.

Before the Iron Dragon Slayer could right himself, it was already too late. With a loud crash he hit the ground on his back. Dust and grit flew in all directions. I landed on my feet moments after. I landed only a few feet away from him. I could already make out his shadow as he began to stand up.

I wasn't going to have that.

I ran over to him and with an anger cry, I kicked him in the chest. My kick made him fall again and I landed on top of him. With a growl I lifted my bloody fist up. I brought my fist down and stopped inches away from delivering my blow when I heard a gasp from the crowd. My eyes darted to the crowd and my eyes searched the many faces. My eyes stopped when they landed on wild blue hair.
