Bad Idea

Several Hours Later...

With a tired sigh I unlocked my front door and with a kick I closed it. I locked it again and stumbled to my bed. With my eyes half shut I clumsily took off my shirt and jeans. I staggered and fell onto my bed. I yawned and buried myself under my covers.

I stretched out my hands and fumbled around for my pillow to cuddle with. My hand brushed against something soft and I wrapped my arms around it. Only my supposedly pillow started to move. With a shriek I jumped out of bed and threw my covers away.

There, sleeping in my bed, was Natsu Dragneel.

Anger overtook me and I reached for my necklace. I stopped halfway and took a closer look at him. His body was shaking and his face was scrunched up in pain. I ran my fingers through my hair and lowered myself on the bed beside him.

I had heard so many hilarious stories about how Natsu just showed up in Lucy's apartment uninvited. It was less funny when it was actually happening to you.

I was careful of how I was moving my side as I reached over and touched his forehead.

He was hotter than usual and he was sweating heavily. It must be that damned tiger bite. Had he not gone to Wendy? I rubbed the back of my neck as I looked at him. I shouldn't even be considering this...

I reached for his arm and as gently as I could, moved it towards me. Blood had already begun to show through the bandage. I bit my lip and stared at his face that was full of pain. I shouldn't be doing this.

I reached up and called for one of my daggers. In a flash of blue light it appeared before me. I caught it in my hand.

This was a bad idea. I put the dagger to his injured arm and began to chant under my breath.

An icy blue light began to glow from the tip of my dagger and I began to draw lightly on Natsu's arm. I brought my dagger around the wound in a circular motion. I then gently slashed a glowing blue X across the wound.

"Secret Art of The Twin Daggers: Heal."

A pulse of blue light came from my dagger and the glowing blue circle started to fade into Natsu's skin. After just a moment it was completely gone.

I dropped Natsu's arm and sent my dagger back. I hunched over and put a hand to my rapid beating heart. I gulped in air as my vision started to fade. I knew this was a bad idea... I blacked out.
