Chapter Eighteen

"Sensei, if people don't like getting hurt, then why do they hurt others?"

"They do it because of reasons Hotaru-chan, may it be selfish or selfless deeds."

Hotaru and Izuku were having some alone time in a café outside, Hotaru who now had white hair instead of black was still wearing her regular dress, Izuku was dressed in his outside attire as well with green glasses, Hotaru was drinking an ice-cold tea and Izuku was sipping earl grey tea from a cup, Izuku also had a book on his hand and in front of Hotaru's table was a similar book, Hotaru was holding her iced tea with both hands and was sipping it from a straw.

"Now let's get started in a new subject, you seem to understand a lot more on this topic, so let's delay this one for now."

"Okay sensei."

Hotaru closed her book and finished her iced tea while Izuku still looked through the contents of his book once more before shutting it and stood up, Hotaru followed Izuku who went to the counter and paid the bills, Hotaru looked curiously at the cashier employee as his eyes light up when Izuku gave him a few extra yen as a tip, after she and her sensei left the café and went a few blocks down the street she couldn't contain her curiosity and asked.

"Sensei, why did he seem so happy when you gave him a tip?"

"It's because with the tip, he could afford something that will make him happy and help him survive."

"But isn't money just paper?"

"It is but, it eases people all around the world as they have a standard to change with everyday items, that's why they made money."

"Okay..."

They were walking towards the park and as they entered Izuku scanned the entire area to find any passer-by's, he took a leaf from the ground and kneeled to reached Hotaru's level, she took the leaf with both hands, looked at his sensei and looked back to the leaf.

"Now, let's take a quick quirk study, since you seemed to see those green dots more on places near the park and sidewalk plants, I'm guessing that it has to do with chlorophyll."

"What's chlorophyll?"

(Education for those who don't know, but I'm pretty sure all of you know but oh well back to the story.)

Izuku just kept smiling as he opened the book that was tucked in the pockets on his pants and scoured through the contents as he stopped on a page. Hotaru listened as

"Chlorophyll is a green pigment usually found in plants and collect sunlight for the plant to do photosynthesis."

"Photosynthesis?"

"Photo as in light and synthesis as in create, to create with light, that's why plants don't eat living things, so now, what do you feel when you try to see the green dots?"

"Uhm, I feel tingly, and... I feel light... and sometimes... I feel like there's a sunlight... beaming through."

"Now, let's started with those feelings, concentrate them and then exert it."

She did what was told and then as she did, some green parts instantly came around her and circled the leaf on her hands, she tried to stop the feeling, but the process didn't cancel and all of the green particles visible to her and Izuku went into the leaf, restoring it into a glowing green and perfect leaf as if it was artificial, Izuku was stunned and started to mutter insanely fast for a few seconds before stopping and patted Hotaru's head who was still shocked at her quirk, she flinched a bit but enjoyed the rest of the head pats.
