Hi! And first of all, yes this chapter is posted two days before Christmas but hey, that's the setting on this chapter anyhow! And yes, this is canon and set in Izuku's past where he was aged 8 (two years before Inko's death), but anyways, bye :)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
"So let me get this straight, you all have no experience of having Christmas?"
"Yes?" / "Uhuh?" / "*Nods" / "Not exactly." / "Maybe?"
Hisashi was rubbing his forehead as his five strays which he had brought in, and surprisingly the five were the strongest currently in his clan, Hisashi planned to have a little day-off on the entire Yakuza clan but, somehow while the other members have their own traditions, these five prized possessions (although Hisashi wouldn't even dare to say it out loud) have absolutely no knowledge of Christmas.
"*Sighs, alright then, since the Dragon clan isn't going to be operating, you all will have to settle with me, and my family that is."
At the mention of his family, Uyemura's and Funai's eyes lit up while the rest had confused looks but didn't say anything, Hisashi sighed but reminded himself that these half-adult and half-teenagers went through, certain things that they shouldn't have gone through at their age.
"Tomorrow is the day before Christmas eve, and the day when the clan gets their days-off, and also the day when my family starts celebrating, now, I know that I can trust you all to keep my address secret right?"
The five responded positively as Hisashi walked through the door and he was on the phone as he was going to tell his beloved wife about the little predicament, although he knew how his wife would never actually hurt anyone (still debatable), his finger shuddered at the thought of calling her in the middle of a court.
Should I? Or shouldn't I?
Why was Hisashi so paranoid? So paranoid in fact that he put his phone back and just trudged his way home instead of asking through the phone, because the last time he did that, he could only hear Inko's voice which was full of venom and politeness with a hint of mocking as well, although it wasn't technically directed to Hisashi, he still got a fraction of that in the speech, now after his little walk, he appeared in front of his door and went in his residence.
"Honey I'm home, honey?"
Hisashi was greeted with silence as he put up his leather coat and made his way to find a piece of paper on the table with a cup of coffee and a plate with a cookie, Hisashi picked up the note and saw Izuku's slightly messy and childish handwriting, which said turns out Izuku and Inko were going to the store to get the essentials, Hisashi just smiled and took a bite from the cookie as he waited for the two to come back.
Meanwhile, in the convenience store, we see an eight-year-old Izuku who was picking things while on the side of his mother who was pushing a shopping cart, the two seemed to be having a good time as Inko had a list on her hands and pointing out to certain items for Izuku to put in the cart.
"---and don't forget the cinnamon Izuku."
"Okay Mommy!"
Izuku kept getting items until the cart was full and Inko with Izuku went to check out, as Izuku was looking to the outside part of the mall while Inko was checking out, as Inko put the groceries in a box and she was moving to the car but saw Izuku stop at the window to a hero merch store and she giggled.
"Come on Izuku, we can come back after we put our groceries in the car."
"Mhm!"
As Inko approached their parking lot, Izuku pulled up the back part of the car but before Inko could went in the driver seat she saw Uyemura and Yoshinaga who were walking in their regular clothes, normally she would just say hello, but Izuku on the other hand went and ran up to Uyemura while smiling which made Inko slightly panic as Izuku wasn't in her supervision.
