Chapter Thirty Six

"Hello Izuku Midoriya---"

"You are not allowed to call me that."

A huge amount of bloodlust was released from Izuku as his green right eye glowed, the detective cleared his throat and mentally noted this behaviour, as Hitoshi and Yui froze in place, Nedzu grinned and Aizawa got into a fighting stance, Izuku then contained his bloodlust and crossed his arms in an annoyed position.

"So, ask, I don't have all day."

"Okay, I'll assume that you know my quirk---"

"Lie detector, self-explanatory, although still vague."

Hitoshi watched as the detective named Tsukauchi pulled up a note pad and a pen, while Aizawa was still on guard with Yui who had a bit of a sour expression, as Tsukauchi prepared a camera which Nedzu held, he began the interrogation.

"So, state your name."

"Mikumo Akatani is what you'll be calling me."

"What's your age?"

"14."

"What's your quirk?"

"None, I'm quirkless."

Tsukauchi mouth went agape and his face morphed into shock as well as Aizawa's too, Nedzu although was smiling madly now, and Hitoshi and Yui were smiling at the revelation, as Izuku looked more mildly annoyed than before, Tsukauchi regained his stupor and got back to the interrogation.

"Ri-right, are you responsible for the deaths of certain individuals?"

"Yes."

Hitoshi couldn't help but shiver at the cold and emotionless voice that Izuku used to answer the question, he didn't like the thought of the smiling sunshine with a maniac look on his face, Tsukauchi seemed to be taken aback as well, although he hid it well as he went to the next question.

"What drove you into killing them."

"They deserved it; karma has come to collect their debts."

"Do you believe that what you are doing is correct?"

"Listen here detective, if you are going to ask more questions about ideals, we're going to be here forever, so finish this up unless if you want a bullet in your throat."

' Is this who you really are Izuku? '

Hitoshi wondered as Izuku held Tsukauchi at gun point but as he faced Yui, he saw her looking at a clapping Nedzu? Who had a smile as he jumped to Aizawa's shoulder, Hitoshi at times like this wished that he could read the mammals thoughts through facial features.

"But that would go against your morals wouldn't it? As your goal won't be fulfilled by killing someone who didn't do anything wrong, right?"

Hitoshi gawked as Izuku's face contorted a scowl as he lowered the gun down as he glared at Nedzu who had a happy expression, Tsukauchi noted it down and Aizawa let go of his stance, but the gun didn't leave Izuku's hand.

"Alright, let's go back to the interrogation, do you have any accomplices."

"Yes."

"How much?"

"Not answering."

"Are you connected to the Hero Killer: Stain?"

"He's my mentor."
