"Izuku, explain to me... where did you get these bruises?"

"I fell down the stairs, nothing serious mom, I'm just---"

"Izuku Midoriya, those look like burn marks, now tell me, where did you got them?"

Inko Midoriya prided herself as a good, loving, caring and gentle mother who looks out for her child and took care of her baby boy, ever since he was diagnosed quirkless, she had been making sure she was there for her child, may it be physically taking care of him, or mentally comforting him. She did whatever she thought was the best for her baby boy, even though some decisions like letting little Izuku to train under her husbands not so legal business friend wasn't exactly the best but ever since Izuku had been brighter than his fourteenth birthday.

"Can Mama not punish him please?"

"If it's what you wish for, but please, tell me who did this?"

'I won't be angry at them sweetie; I just want to have a little talk'

Everyday Izuku would come home after training with Funai-san, who didn't really teach him anything physically dangerous (yet), and he would be covered with bruises and dirt, but never with burn marks, Funai's quirk didn't directly involved with fire so it couldn't have been him, and Izuku has been training for two years ever since the diagnosis and Izuku gotten some muscles, although her boy was still the sky and kind boy she knew.

"It....a...K...ch...n"

"*Hum? I couldn't hear that, speak louder Izuku."

"Kachaan...... it was Kachaan."

Inko's world was shattered at the thought of his son's best friend injuring him, the Bakugo's sure had high tempers and definitely a bad mouth sometimes but......hearing that her own son got physically injured by her friend's child whom her baby boy knew since diapers...... it wasn't something she expected, she had to keep her straight face up as the treatment that she was applying to him while making sure that she isn't radiating any rage.

"Oh... Well, I'm sure I can talk with Mitsuki about this."

"No! I mean... I don't want to... make Mama angry at Auntie!"

Inko was not expecting that to come out of her baby's mouth, she thought that maybe he was afraid of Katsuki but instead he thought about how this revelation of Katsuki mildly injuring him would affect her and her best friend's relationship, which made Inko smiled a fond one, seeing her baby boy thinking about her feelings first...... when she only thought about how she wanted him to be... instead of the one he wanted to be...

"Oh my baby, I would never be angry at Auntie Mitsuki, sure we have had quarrels before, but we always make up at the end of each one, now can you tell me why Katsuki did this to you?"

"He said... that I'm some weak Deku, and... that I will never be a hero... since I'm weak..."

"Does he really think that way?"

"Huh?"

Izuku tilted his head like a curious puppy which made Inko unable to resist to chuckled an amused one at that, Inko then stood from her chair and gestured Izuku to follow her, into her room, or her workspace, she was a lawyer, and one of the best in Japan too, it's kind of ironic on how a law-abiding citizen would marry an illegal organisation leader, although it worked pretty well, she opened a cabinet and pulled out a file which Izuku eyed carefully.

"Like this case, at first glance, it seemed that the villain was the one who did most of the property damage, but... after a few testimonies and evidence, turns out it was because of the hero's carelessness, and the villain was just a person who looked a lot like another villain and was just there to get groceries, and... without his vigilantism charges, more should've died there..."
