The two boys had continued to sit at the park and reminisce about their past and chat occasionally. They had come to really enjoy one another's company, though they were still a little awkward with each other.
"You think we should head back now?" Jisung prompted. "Yeah, sure." The older smiled before standing up and stretching his arms. The blonde followed suit. They began to walk back to Jisung's house. I really need to update my friends on what has happened. They'll all be so shocked. I can already imagine the looks on their faces. Jisung giggled as he thought to himself.
"What's so funny?" Minho questioned the younger. The blonde's face flushed when he realized he laughed aloud. "O-oh uh, it's nothing." He glanced at the older, to see he was wearing a fond smile on his face. He quickly looked away, feeling embarrassed. I don't think I'll ever be able to get used to this.
It didn't take them long to arrive at the house. "We're back!" Jisung yelled as they walked through the front door. "Welcome!" His dad yelled back as he approached the two. "So how was your little outing?" He queried, smiling. "I-it was good." The squirrel-like male answered simply, as he was flustered. "What's got you all red huh?" He lightly elbowed his son. "Nothing! Let's go Minho." He said before dragging Minho with him up the stairs.
He let out a breath as they entered his room. "You're not gonna tell your parents yet? I'm sure they would be overjoyed." The brunette chuckled. "Absolutely not. I cannot deal with that right now. I don't have the energy for that." Jisung responded, covering his face with his hands. He sat down on the edge of his bed, Minho following shortly after. The older sat down next to him, their legs slightly touching.
Even the slightest touch from Minho made his heart race. The latter seemed to notice that he was tense, as he placed his hand on Jisung's, in an attempt to help him calm down a bit. However, it had the opposite as Jisung stood up immediately. "Oh, I'm sorry! I made you uncomfortable, didn't I?" He apologized quickly. Jisung turned to him, shaking his head profusely. "No it's fine! I just didn't expect it is all." He wanted to punch himself for being so jumpy. I was fine like ten minutes ago, why am I acting like this again??
"Maybe we should split up now so we can both process this properly. We should probably return to school soon anyway. Plus it's not like the string is restricting us anymore." The older suggested. Jisung thought about it for a few seconds. "Yeah, that's probably a good idea. And I honestly forgot school existed." He chuckled, scratching the back of his head. Jisung began to help Minho pack up his things. The blonde felt like this was a good decision as he didn't think his heart could handle anymore than it already had dealt with in the past week.
They soon finished packing, and brought the older's things downstairs. "Leaving already?" Jisung's mother suddenly spoke, startling the blonde. "Whoops, sorry. Didn't mean to scare you." She chuckled. Jisung huffed. "Yeah, he wants to see his cats and I couldn't stand his presence anymore." He fibbed. "Oh come on 'Sung, you know that isn't true. I can tell you've warmed up to him a lot."
"He certainly has." Minho chimed in with a grin. "Minho!" Jisung exclaimed, which made the older laugh. "That's it. It's time for you to go home." He began pushing the older towards the door.
"Wait! I gotta put my shoes on first."
"Well hurry up then!"
Jisung's mom smiled fondly at the kids in front of her.
"Drive safely!" She yelled as the two stumbled out the door. "What, you're not gonna drive?" The blonde whined. "You are fully capable of driving, and I have some things to do." She informed. "Hmph. Fine then. pass the keys." He said grumpily. She tossed him the keys which he barely managed to catch. "Don't distract him while he's driving, Minho." She joked. "Stoppp mom! Come on Minho, let's get going." He said before dragging the brunette once again. Minho waved goodbye to Jisung's mom as he was being dragged.
"You know I can walk, right?" The older quipped. "S-sorry!" He immediately let go of his hand, making Minho laugh at how easily Jisung got flustered. Jisung huffed before entering the car. He waited for the older to get in with his things before starting the car. He drove out of the driveway and headed towards his soulmate's house. The drive was too quiet, so Jisung quickly turned on the radio so he could calm himself down. He could feel Minho's gaze rested on him as he drove.
After a ten minute drive which felt like ages for the blonde, they had made it to the latter's house. "I guess I'll see you at school then?" Minho inquired. "Y-yeah, I'll see you then." He cracked a smile, making the older melt. "Can I kiss you?" Jisung's face immediately turned red at Minho's sudden question. "U-um-" He nodded hesitantly after a few seconds, as he couldn't form a proper sentence, his heart feeling like it was going to burst out of his chest. The brunette leaned forward before connecting their lips for a brief kiss.
Minho soon pulled away, a smile forming on his face. "See you." He said simply before grabbing his bag and exiting the vehicle. Jisung was in a daze as he watched the older head to the door. "Oh my god. This is too much." He slammed his head onto the steering wheel due to his embarrassment, which only made things worse for him as it had caused the car to honk. "Shit!"
He looked up to see Minho with his hands on his knees, laughing hysterically. "Fuck you! Go inside!" He yelled at the older who obliged but had not stopped laughing. Jisung let out an enormous breath once the brunette had stumbled his way into the house. "How have I not had a heart attack yet? It sure felt like I was having one." He said to himself. "I need to calm the fuck down before I start driving." He turned the music back on in an attempt to calm himself down.
Once his heart didn't feel like it was going a million miles per hour, he started the car back up and backed out of the older's driveway. "That's it. I'm going to Felix's." He decided before driving off. "When the fuck did Minho get so flirty? Ugh, it's so disgusting." He said aloud, which was a complete contradiction from what he actually thought.
After a few minutes of muttering to himself, he had arrived at the Aussie's house. Hmm. His parents aren't home? He shrugged and shut off the car before exiting it. He rushed to the door and didn't even bother knocking. "Felix, you will not believe the day I just ha-" He instantly cut himself off. Just when he thought this day couldn't possibly get anymore chaotic, he was proven wrong by the sight of Felix and Changbin kissing.
