One day until Han Jisung's Birthday
Jisung's alarm went off, causing him to sit up quickly. He stood up, once again doing the choreo of the Twice song. He grabbed his glasses and put them on before grabbing his phone. He looked at the date. "MY BIRTHDAY IS TOMORROW??" He exclaimed. He had completely forgotten about his birthday due to the recent events. "Good morning to you, too." His dad spoke from the hallway. He ignored him.
He rushed over to his closet and dug through his clothes. He couldn't believe he might meet his soulmate tomorrow. He was filled with energy just thinking about it. He just wanted this day to go by quickly so his birthday would come faster. The cheerful squirrel boy managed to find himself an outfit. He quickly grabbed the clothes and ran to his bathroom.
He had a quick shower before drying himself off and putting his clothes on. He got ready quickly and ran out of the bathroom. He grabbed his things before speeding out of his room and nearly tripping and falling down the stairs. He slid over to the front door, practically throwing his bag onto the bench. He then scurried over to the kitchen, nearly bumping into his mom.
"Woah, what's got you in such a rush today? Breakfast isn't even ready yet." She asked. Jisung tried to catch his breath before speaking. "My birthday is tomorrow." He answered. "Rushing around isn't gonna make it come sooner." She chuckled. "I knowwww. I just can't wait any longer." He groaned. She smiled and ruffled his hair.
"I remember being so excited for my 18th birthday like you are. But trust me, thinking about it too much will only make it seem longer." She told her son. He slumped over. "Yeah, I'm aware. But it's not like it'll be easy to get off of my mind." He sulked. "Well, then think of this. You may not meet your soulmate tomorrow, maybe they're younger than you." She suggested. "Huh, I never thought of that. That'd be kind of a bummer if I'm all excited for nothing."
"I'm gonna finish making breakfast. You relax." She smiled before walking back into the kitchen. Jisung was deep in thought. He didn't even take into account that his soulmate could be younger than him. He always just assumed that they would be older than him. He huffed. What if he had to wait for years? He really hoped that wasn't the case.
He ambled over to the comfy couch and plopped down. He decided to text Chris.
