The next day Rebekah and I are talking in the living room as we wait for Nik to bring back Sophie. Hayley was upstairs resting, she told me that she was feeling fine when she finally woke up. I was happy that she was okay, especially my baby. I should probably start thinking of baby names.

"Okay, now that I know that I'm having a baby girl, I need names." I cross my legs and place my glass of scotch on the table.

"Picking names is always the toughest thing, when it comes to babies." Rebekah leans back and squeals. "You know, I was jealous of you when we first got here to New Orleans. You're in love with the man of your dreams and you're having a baby with him, as a bloody vampire!! I'm so happy that I can be here for you, but Maddison once I help Elijah I am leaving."

My smile drops at my best friend words. I really don't want her to go, but if that's what she wants then I won't stop her. "Rebekah I'm so happy that you're honest with me and that you're my best friend. Even havin Katherine as my blood sister, you'll always be my real one. So, if there's anything out there that you want to do with you're life, then go ahead and do it."

She hugs me and I smile as I hug her back. I'm happy to have her in my life, and my child is the luckiest to have her as an aunt. "Okay, enough before we make each other cry." We pull away from the hug and smile. "I think you should name my niece, Legacy Nicole Mikaelson."

I laugh at my best friend and she raise an eyebrow at me. "No way in hell."

"Okay, then how about....Vanessa Angel Mikaelson."

"Cute but no, I was thinking something else but when the time is right I'll discuss it with Nik." I look at my best friend and smirk. Suddenly  Nik brings in Sophie and deposits her onto the couch.

"We had a deal! You protect my unborn child, I dismantle Marcel's army. And whilst I've been busy fulfilling my part of the bargain, you allowed Hayley to be attacked and almost killed by a gaggle of lunatic witches." Klaus shouts at the witch very angrily.

Sophie speaks very frantically. "I had nothing to do with it, I swear. Hayley and I are linked, remember? She dies, I die."

"Then who the hell were they?" I asked the witch very confused.

Sophie sighs. "They are a faction of extremists. Sabine stupidly told them about some vision she had about the baby."

"What kind of vision?" Klaus asked suspiciously.

"She has them all the time. They are totally open to interpretation. I'm guessing she's wrong on this one."

"Well, how, may I ask, was this particular vision interpreted?" Nik asked very interested in what she has to say.

"...Pretty much that your baby would bring death to all witches." Sophie mumbles and I look over at Nik.

"Ah, well. I grow fonder of this child by the second." He squeezes in between Rebekah and I and we both hit him with a pillow.

"Sophie, look-- Maddison and I promised Elijah that we would protect the Mikaelson miracle-baby whilst he tries to win your witch Davina's loyalty. Why don't you tell me just how extreme this faction is?" Rebekah states and I scoff.

"I didn't promise anything, no one needs to tell me what I should and shouldn't do when it comes to protecting my own child. Are we all forgetting that I'm actually the mother?"  The room goes quiet and Nik rubs my thigh.

"Maddison we know that your the baby is yours, but in order to keep the baby safe we have to keep Hayley safe." Rebekah reaches across Nik and holds my hand. "We are doing this for your baby, not Hayley."
