Chapter-12

Alec's POV

         ‘‘Leave yourself to me..‘‘
   
       I did what Magnus told me. I took his hand and we went to the place where the people danced. I could feel my heart beating like it was going to explode. Magnus put one hand on my waist, and the other held my hand. I placed my free hand on his shoulder.

      Me and Magnus slowly sway back and forth to the melody of the song. Time has stopped. It was just me, Magnus and the music. My eyes couldn't see anything else. I took a deep breath and looked into Magnus' eyes. 'That's it'

      Magnus looked deep into my eyes for a long time. I saw those perfect brown eyes sparkle. Me and Magnus had been looking at each other every day for three and a half years. But tonight, for the first time, we saw each other. I felt like I had found something that I didn't even know I had lost. I was sure Magnus felt the same way now.
  
      I took a deep breath. 'Perfect time to talk to Magnus,' I thought. "Magnus..." Magnus smiled at me "Shh, I know Alexander... I know ." My heart melted at the three words Magnus said. I bowed my head and smiled.

      I closed my eyes and laid my head on Magnus' shoulder. His sandalwood scent gave me peace. Neither of us said anything. We danced in silence. Neither of us realized how long we had been dancing.
       
           Sing me to sleep
          I don't want to wake up on my own anymore

     "Alexander... I don't want to wake up on my own anymore either"  I squeezed Magnus' shoulder. "You don't have to... You don't have to anymore."

      I stopped hearing the song anymore. All I could hear was Magnus' steady heartbeat. I don't know how long we stayed like this, as the rhythm of the music picked up, we both realized that the song had changed.

      I lifted my head from Magnus's shoulder and looked into his eyes. “Want to go somewhere quieter?” I just nodded.

      Me and Magnus went to Jace's backyard together. Everyone was sitting either inside the house or in the front yard. It was pretty dark in here. I turned on my phone light, me and Magnus started walking together.

       Jace had a big enough swing in his backyard. I turned off the light of the phone as me and Magnus sat on the swing. We both started watching the sky in silence. Nothing broke our silence apart from the voices coming from inside. After sitting in silence for a while, it was Magnus who broke the silence.

      "You know what, the lily scent you used is really nice." I looked at Magnus shyly, "Thanks." Me and Magnus kept rocking back and forth on the swing. After a while, Magnus laid his head on my shoulder, "Would you like to stay with me tonight?" I took a deep breath, I feel my breathing getting heavy whenever Magnus spokes. “I really would love to, but I can't leave Izzy alone.” Magnus just nodded.

       I felt Magnus shaking “Are you cold?” Magnus lifted his head from my shoulder and looked at me, “A little bit.” I took off my jacket and placed it on Magnus' shoulders. Magnus tucked his arms into the jacket. Magnus disappeared in a jacket that even was too big for me. A small smile appeared on my face. “You're really cute.” Magnus shyly lowered his head.

      Normally I'm the shy one, but I like how the things I say affect Magnus like that. Magnus put a hand on my knee and began to stroke it gently. I could feel a million butterflies flying in my stomach. Magnus first looked into my eyes, then slowly looked at my lips. My lips were slightly parted. I started licking my dry lips. Magnus bit his lower lip. 'How can a person be so hot and cute at the same time?' I thought.

     We slowly started to approach each other. I closed my eyes and it all started like a dream. We had a great dance with Magnus, explained our feelings for each other, and now we were going to have our first kiss. The only person I ever wanted to kiss in my life was going to kiss me.

     But everything was broken by the sound of my phone. I pulled back abruptly, Magnus cleared his throat. I picked up the phone with a small growl, "WHAT?" It was Izzy on the phone. "Okay, wait for me by the door, I'm coming to get you." Magnus looked at me with confused and sad eyes. "What happened?" I threw my head back and tried to stay calm.

   "It was Izzy. They got drunk and fell in the pool while joking with Simon." Magnus started to laugh, "I have to go." Magnus gave me a small kiss on the cheek "Go, do your big brother duties. See you at school tomorrow." With that, I left Magnus and went to Izzy.
 
     I went to Izzy, who was waiting for me in front of the door. I took her arm and we walked home together About fifteen minutes later we were home. I took Izzy to her room, helped her put on dry clothes, dried her hair, and laid her in bed.

      After putting painkillers and a bottle of water by her bedside, I went to the door to leave the room. "Alec" I looked at Izzy and she started talking to me white half asleep voice. " I saw you and Magnus  dancing, he's a good person. Don't turn yourself off against Magnus. You can tell him anything, he can help you with anything you're afraid of.” I walked up to Izzy, stroked her hair gently, and placed a kiss on her forehead. "Go to sleep Izzy, we'll talk tomorrow." Izzy' just nodded.
"Magnus won't break your heart."  I left the room with the last thing Izzy said.

      I went to my room, closed the door behind me, and suddenly I sat on the floor and tears started coming from my eyes. I had the best day of my life but I had no idea why I was crying. What if I lose Magnus? What if he left me after he found out what happened to me? Or if he gets bored of my fears and doesn't want to mess with me? I didn't realize how long I cried on the floor.

        I get up to the sound of my phone. I looked at my phone, there was a new message, I immediately opened the message.

      M: Good night, Alexander. ♥️

     I dropped my heart on the little heart emoji and all my worries disappeared. A huge smile appeared on my face. I replied immediately

       A: Good night, Magnus. ❤️

     I left the phone by my bedside, got ready to sleep and went to bed. Thinking about this evening, I fell asleep with a big smile on my face.
