Magnus' POV
This morning I woke up earlier than I wake up every morning. I looked at the clock, it was five in the morning. I lay on my bed and stare at the ceiling. Memories of yesterday began to come to my mind.I can't get my mind off the dance we had with Alec. His soft hands, his head on my shoulder, the gasps he takes when he's excited, and of course that perfect lily scent. Every time I close my eyes, the smell comes to my nose. I want to put my nose on his neck and breathe in his scent for hours.
Yesterday Alec wanted to talk while we was dancing, and when I looked into his eyes, I knew what he wanted to talk about. As we looked into each other's eyes, we both realized what was going on between us. All the teasing I went through with him to piss off Alec was just to get his attention. I guess it would have been enough to get Alec's attention by making him dance instead of pissing him off.
As I danced with Alec, I realized how vulnerable I was. I always thought that living alone wasn't so bad after all. After my mother's death, I promised myself that I would never love someone so much again. I wouldn't cry when I lost anyone. But yesterday with Alec in my arms, all I wanted was not to be alone. I wanted Alec to stay in my arms forever, never to lift his head from my shoulder.
I closed my eyes and started thinking about Alexander. I thought of his lips that I almost kissed yesterday. His pink, slightly parted lips. I wanted to kiss Alec's lips, I wanted to run my hands through his hair, kiss his neck, run my hands all over his body. I wanted Alexander.
I looked around the room and saw the jacket that Alec gave me yesterday. I got out of bed and grabbed his jacket and lay back on the bed. I start to smell the collar of the jacket, it smells like Alec. I lay in bed for a while longer, hugging Alec's jacket. After a while I had to get out of bed to get ready for school.
I took a quick shower, stood in front of my closet as soon as I got out of the shower and started choosing the clothes I would wear. I wore black tight ripped jeans and a white t-shirt with a slight see through.
I started picking out a jacket to wear, but my eyes landed on Alec's jacket on the side of the bed. I grabbed Alec's jacket and put it on. Satisfied enough with my appearance, I grabbed my backpack and went downstairs.
I made myself a cup of coffee in the kitchen and prepared a toast next to it. After I had my breakfast, I looked at the clock, it was almost eight o'clock, so I wouldn't be late for school, I left the house and started walking towards the school.
I walked into the schoolyard and immediately my eyes searched for Alec. Alec was sitting alone on the bench ahead.
“Good morning.” Alec looked up from the book he was reading and looked at me. "Hey, good morning." I sat next to Alec, "Where's everybody?"
"Hmm, Izzy went to the building where her class was, Clary didn't have breakfast so she went to eat something, and Simon and Jace aren't comeing to school today. Simon got sick and Jace I think he had a little too much to drink yesterday.” After Alec said that, I looked at him with a laugh. “So, just us?” Alec nodded.
I got up from the bench and turned to Alec. "Come on, our first lesson is math, let's not be late." Alec immediately got up and came over to me, and we started walking together.
“Magnus… Should we talk about what happened yesterday?” I decided to tease Alec a little. “What happened yesterday, Alexander?”
“I mean.. we.. we almost..” I couldn't hold back my laughter and I looked at Alec with a smile. "Alec, I told you yesterday, I know. I feel the same way. But if you really want to have a serious talk, we can talk during lunch break. Okay?” A smile appeared on the corner of Alec's lips.
"I'll be in art class at lunch break, do you want to come over there?"
"Sounds great."
Alec and I walked silently to the math class. We entered the classroom together, Alec sat in his usual place and I sat next to him. He turned to me after he took out his books for the lesson.
“Would you like to study math today?”
“It would be great, but I didn't write the literature article, I have to go home today and write it.”
Alec smiled and nodded. "The jacket looks really good on you." A big smile appeared on my face and I approached Alec, softly sniffed his neck and whispered in his ear, "I wore it because it still smells like you." I winked at him.
I saw Alec turn as red as a tomato, I was thinking of teasing a little bit more, but Mr. Verlac came and started the lesson. After the math class, our lessons with Alec were in separate classrooms. I didn't know how the day went until lunch break, the only thing on my mind was the conversation I would have with Alec during the lunch break.
I waited impatiently for the day to pass, finally the last bell rang and it was time for the lunch break. First I went to my locker and left my books and then I started walking to art class. When I got to the door of the art class, I took a deep breath and opened the door.
Alec was standing in front of his canvas, brush in hand, his old paint-stained T-shirt. There was no sound in the room, except for the quiet song he picked up on his phone. I walked into the classroom, closed the door behind me, and approached Alec.
As I got behind him, I calmly cleared my throat, not wanting to scare Alec this time. Alec turned around and looked at me with wide eyes. "Hi" I couldn't help the smile that appeared on my face when I saw Alec like this. "Hey" Oh my god I didn't expect this talk to make me this much nervous.
