Chapter-24

Alec's POV

     When I entered the kitchen, Magnus was sitting at the dinner table, and I sat down in the chair next to him and looked at the breakfast he had prepared.

    He had prepared a table full of eggs, pancakes, waffles, sliced fruit, bacon, and toast. I thought, 'How did he prepare so many things?' "Magnus, you didn't have to go through so much trouble."

    Magnus gave me a small kiss on the cheek as he poured coffee into my glass. "Alexander, you look great right now, you look really hot, but if you start gaining weight in a healthy way and watch what you eat, I would be very happy."

    A small smile crossed my face and I nodded, Magnus and I started to have our breakfast together. From time to time Magnus took my hand and kissed my knuckles, 'When did my life become this?' I thought. Until a few days ago, I never thought we'd spend a morning like this with Magnus.

    Magnus made me the ginger tea he made yesterday. I felt nauseous after breakfast, but the tea Magnus made was really good. 'Why didn't I think of doing something like this before?' I felt like I could hold the food I ate in my stomach.

    Magnus and I finished our breakfast. We washed the dishes together. In the following hours, me and Magnus were lying on the sofa in the living room. I was scribbling on my sketchbook, Magnus' head was on my lap reading a book.

    "Magnus?" Without looking up from the book, Magnus replied, "Hmm?" I set my sketchbook aside and run my hands through Magnus' brown hair "When are Izzy and the others coming?" Magnus put down his book and looked at me,

    "They're coming after school."

    "Umm... M-Magnus... well... y-you know our friends don't know what's going on between us yet" Magnus lifted his head and sat up straight and looked at me.

    "Well... we don't have to tell anyone unless you want to. We've already talked about that. What are you trying to say?" I interlocked my fingers with Magnus's and I felt my face turn red "Well... so they don't know I have someone in my life and I have a lot of bruises on my neck... so umm can I get one of your turtlenecks to cover them up?"

    Magnus looked at me with a mocking smile, "Aww, Alexander... You can tell them you have a secret boyfriend." I rolled my eyes "Magnus!! Will you help me?" Magnus smiled and stood up, holding out his hand. "Come on." Hand in hand, Magnus and I went up to his room. "You sit on the bed, I'm coming."

    I sat on the bed and waited for Magnus a few minutes later Magnus came to me with a big bag in his hand and sat on the bed next to me "What is that?" Magnus opened the bag and took out a few things and laid them on the bed. "My cosmetics. Get your head up." I did as Magnus said Magnus worked on my neck for a few minutes, then moved away and looked at my neck.

    "Let's look in the mirror" I went to the mirror and there was nothing on my neck from the previous day. All the bruises were gone, as if they had never been there.

    "What do you think?"

    "As if they were never there."

    Magnus kissed my cheek, "We'll delete it after our friends are gone." I smiled at Magnus and turned around and hugged him. At this time, we heard the knock on the door and we went downstairs together and opened the door. 

    As soon as I opened the door, Izzy jumped on me with a high-pitched scream. "Calm down Izzy, you're going to strangle your brother." It was Jace who spoke.

    After Izzy let me go, Jace and I hugged "How are you feeling?"

    "I'm better." Finally Clary hugged me and we went into the living room "Where's Simon?" Magnus asked. That's right, Simon was not with them. "Someone new arrived at the school yesterday, Simon and he waited to get lecture notes from Mr. Verlac and they'll be here in a minute."  Magnus looked at Izzy, who was speaking with confused eyes. "They?"

    "Ohh right, we forgot to mention, we also called the new kid, I hope you don't mind. He seems like a really nice guy." It was Jace who spoke. "Yes Alec, he seems like a really nice person, his mother works as a nurse at the same hospital whit our mom."

    Magnus was about to say something, but the doorbell rang, "I'll open it." I went to open the door. When I opened the door, there was Simon and a boy with blond curly hair and green eyes, almost the same height as Simon.

    "Hey" Simon hugged me tight "How are you?" I let go of Simon and we walked into the living room together "I'm fine really." The boy next to us stood silent.

    We went into the living room and I sat across from Magnus and the new boy sat next to me and introduced himself to me and Magnus. "Hi, I'm Andrew. They said a lot about you, Alec, right?" He extended his hand to me.

    He seems like a really cheerful and friendly person. I shook his hand back "Yeah, I'm Alec" He then reached out to Magnus and shook his hand. "So, Izzy told a lot about you but didn't mention that her brother is this hot." 'WHAT??' 'Does this kid say everything that comes to mind at once?' I felt my face turn red

    "Imm... T-Thanks I guess" After the awkward silence between us, everyone started chatting and after a while, I realized that Andrew and I were getting along really well.

    He seems like a nice guy, he likes to paint, and he even talked to Miss Fray as soon as he got to school and started working in the art class. After a while I felt Magnus' eyes on me and he looked uncomfortable.

    "Alexander? Can you help me to make the drinks?" I nodded and stood up. "Alexander?! Alec is short for Alexander?" I nodded, "Sounds really good, Alexander." Andrew said coquettishly and winked. Just as I was about to protest, I startled with a loud voice,

    "ONLY I CAN CALL HIM LIKE THAT!!"
