Chapter-25

Magnus' POV

     I hate him... As soon as he stepped inside, I realized... I hate him... Everyone was looking at me in surprise, yes I may have said what was on my mind a little loudly.

    Alexander was staring at me with his eyes wide open, his face reddened. 'Oh my god... what did I do?' Luckily it was Izzy who broke the awkward silence. "We call my brother Alec, only Magnus calls him Alexander."
Alec and Andrew just nodded.

    I ran to the kitchen to escape the awkward silence. I felt someone coming after me. Thinking it was Alexander, I immediately turned around and said, "Alexander, I'm so sor-" My words were cut short when I saw Jace in front of me. ''What the hell was that man? I know you and Alec are close, but don't you think you did a little too much?" What is he talking about, I just accidentally raised my voice at his new friend.

    "Jace, what the fuck are you talking about? I just accidentally raised my voice to 'YOUR NEW FRIEND'." I rolled my eyes and used air quotes to make sure I put enough emphasis on the word new friend.

    ''Dude, ever since Andrew sat next to Alec, you've been giving him death glare. Everyone noticed, What's wrong with you?" 'FUCK!!'  Was it that obvious? I needed to calm down I took a deep breath "You're right Jace, I may have been a little overprotective after what happened with Alec and his dad. I'll be more mindful of my actions." Jace patted my back lightly, "You're a good friend Magnus."

    I lowered my head and started preparing the drinks. I poured a big glass of Coke for everyone but ginger tea for Alexander. “What is that?” Jace sniffed the tea in the teapot. “Oh that? It's nothing, Alec has a little stomach ache, I did it for him. My mom used to do it for me, and I did it for Alec.”

    I realized I was taking a deep breath as I talked about my mom. I miss my mother very much, I know I don't talk about her much, but I guess it's easier for me that way. If I don't talk about her, I won't feel her absence. But that doesn't make her absence any easier.

    Jace must have noticed that I was lost in thought “Are you thinking about your mother?” Tears filled my eyes. I nodded. Jace hugged me "You're never alone Magnus, remember that okay? We all love you so much." I smiled and wiped my eyes with the sleeve of my sweater. ''Let's go inside,  not wait them any longer."

    Jace and I went to the living room. I put the drinks on the coffee table. I just handed Alec his tea. Our fingers touched as Alec took the glass from my hand. I smiled at Alec and winked "Thanks Magnus" Alec turnd red

    "So Magnus, do you live alone?" I really didn't like him at all, I replied with a fake smile "Yes Andrew, I live alone." Andrew took a big sip of his Coke "Where's your family?"

    "It's none of your business." Clary interrupted when she felt me tense up. "Umm.. Why don't we play a  game?" Simon jumped up. "YESSS, LET'S PLAY TRUTH OR DARE"

    Everyone agreed with Simon We cleared the coffee table and sat around it together. Andrew was about to sit next to Alec again when I placed myself between the two of them. "Hey." I smiled at Alec. "Hi."

     We started playing after everyone had taken their seats. ''Well... I'll start.'' Jace began to speak, ''Hmm.. who should I ask... Andrew?'' Andrew sat up and waited for Jace to ask a question. 'Truth or dare? ''  ''Truth''

    "Is there a girl you left behind where you came from?"

     "Umm.. no, no there is no girl, there was never a girl, there was a boy but no girl." 'Great'

     "It's my turn"

     "Magnus" Oh my god he should have asked me of all those people. I rolled my eyes “Yes?”  “Truth or dare.” Whatever I choose, I don't want to tell Andrew anything about myself but what if I say dare and he asks me to do something that makes me uncomfortable. Fuck!

     "Truth" He thought for a few seconds.
“Do you have someone in your life?” I answered without thinking, “Yes.” God, I wanted so badly to say that Alec was my boyfriend. A whisper rose from all who sat

     "Is there someone in your life?"

     "Why don't we know?"

      "Who is she?"

     I took a deep breath and started answering the questions one by one "Yes, there is someone in my life, because it's so new, and no not she, he"

    I put my hand on Alec's thigh under the coffee table "I have a secret boyfriend."  I winked and Alexander let out a gasp and smiled.
