Jax
I sat at a table in Jaden's bar as the kids arrived. They walked towards the table and sat down.
"Dad? What's going on?" Elise asked me.
The boys and Ramona looked at me.
"I need to tell you the truth," I said.
The kids glanced at each other.
"Years ago, I met a woman in Richard's bar. She was there with friends, and we struck up a conversation. The woman's name was Alicia, and she was Elise's mom."
They stared at me.
"We got involved amid a war between Richard's club and Blake's club."
Ramona's brows lifted.
"I tried to keep our relationship hidden from everyone because I didn't want Alicia to get hurt. The problem was Alicia had gotten involved with Blake's brother, Brett. We returned Brett's body to Blake."
The kids stared at me.
"Blake killed my mother."
Everyone's brows raised, but I didn't flinch. I lifted the beer bottle to my lips, took a swig, and set down.
"So, what does this have to do with us?" Jag asked me.
"While I was with Alicia, she mentioned that she had a brother named William Keaton."
Jag looked at me and said nothing.
"Wait. What?" Elise asked me.
I drank my beer.
Elise stood up. "Are you telling me that I'm related to this asshole!" Elise pointed at Jag.
Jag stood up and turned to Elise. "It's not like I'm jumping up and down to hear this news. So, shut your pie hole."
Rocco stood up and turned to Jag. "Don't make me knock your stupid, issue-ridden ass out."
"I need a stiff drink." Ramona slid out of her chair and headed to the bar.
"I can't believe that I'm related to this dick." Elise pointed at Jag.
"It's not like I want to be related to you. You're a pain in the ass," Jag said.
"That's it." Rocco lunged at Jag.
Damien got in between them. I sat there and drank my beer until we heard a shotgun pump. The kids stopped and turned their heads to see Jaden pointing a shotgun at them.
"Shut the fuck up and sit your asses down. I won't have you destroy my bar," Jaden said.
"Well, the club members taught Jaden well," Damien said.
Ramona strolled to the table with a drink but stopped. "I'll hang out at the bar." She spun and walked away.
"Sit down. Jaden's bar is neutral territory," I told the kids.
The kids sat down.
"Jag, if you touch my kid, you won't be breathing." I drank my beer.
Jag narrowed his lips into a straight line. I didn't care who you were. I wouldn't hesitate to put someone down like a dog if they touched my kid. Rocco is lucky to be breathing.
Richard sauntered over to the table and sat down next to me. He glanced at the kids and noticed their expressions. "I see that you told them."
"Yeah, I did. Now, why don't you tell the kids why you're a piece of shit and didn't raise Jaden?" I asked Richard.
