Over the next couple of weeks, Jisung tried his best to ignore the constant thoughts and worries he had about Minho. All he wanted was for his life to go back to normal, until he receives another invitation. However, that was easier said than done since Jisung saw Minho almost everywhere he went since the event at the university.
Minho would wait outside his workplace after his shift and offer to give him a lift, asking too many questions about Jisung's personal life. Or he would be at the usual cafe Jisung would go to for a drink during his lunch break, once again, asking too many questions. There were times when Jisung went home and saw Minho standing at the bottom of his apartment complex, presumably waiting for him.
Every time Minho saw him, he approached him in a friendly manner, but Jisung wasn't stupid. He could tell that Minho had some sort of ulterior motive. Otherwise, why would he pay someone like Jisung the slightest bit of interest? He disguised his questions as casual pieces of information one would tell their friends.
"Seungmin? He works with you as a police officer, right? He's not the friend who works at City Hall?"
"So, who is this friend you were covering for that night?"
"What have you been up to in the past few days? Just work?"
"What was someone like you doing at a charity event?"
"Even if you did nothing during the Dean's speech, you had to have at least seen something, no?"
"Why don't you-"
"LEAVE ME ALONE!"
Jisung was being driven insane by this man. If only he could, he would get him arrested for harassment, but he'd rather not complicate matters. More importantly, he feared that MInho would run his mouth which would land Jisung in trouble. However, the situation was getting more and more out of hand. Seungmin wouldn't stop asking about Minho and Jisung had no idea what to tell him. How had Jisung gotten himself in this mess?
What Jisung didn't expect was to, one day, see Minho in front of his front door holding a red envelope.
"Ah, Jisung!" He waved the envelope in the air when he noticed Jisung at the other end of the hallway. "I was wondering when you'd get here!"
"What the hell are you doing here?" Jisung whisper-shouted as if no one should know that Lee Minho was at his home. As Jisung neared, he noticed that the red envelope was already open and felt his heart drop.
"The postman here happens to be a friend." Minho smiled, looking at the front and back of the invitation card, reading the information written on the envelope. "You've got post."
"Give that here." Jisung snapped, trying to snatch the card out of Minho's grasp. Minho, of course, held it far out of Jisung's reach. "Who even opens someone else's post?" He muttered, frustrated.
"Whoa! Calm down." He laughed, enjoying the power he held over Jisung at that moment. "I guess you could say my curiosity got the better of me?" He smirked.
"Give it to me!" Jisung raised his voice a little bit, reaching out once again but only managing to grab Minho's wrist.
"What's the rush?" Minho threw his head back, laughing, but still managing to keep the envelope out of Jisung's reach. "Besides, it's just an invitation," He said, which wasn't wrong, but it was the crane Jisung wanted. "Right?" Minho added, raising an eyebrow as if he knew there was something extra to the whole ordeal.
Jisung stayed silent, refusing to provide Minho with an answer. Minho sighed, smiling as he lowered his arm and let Jisung snatch the envelope from his grasp.
