It's been weeks since Minho and Jisung had spoken. The things that had happened between them when they last saw each other had taken quite the toll on Jisung.

At work, he spent ages letting his thoughts drift off to Minho and checking his phone only to see that Minho hadn't responded to his texts since that day. It felt hopeless but, despite him trying to ignore his feeling for Minho and pretend they never existed most of the time, a small part of him anticipated Minho changing his mind.

He couldn't stop thinking about the kisses they had shared. Each one was unique and beautiful, or at least to Jisung. He found himself daydreaming about them instead of working. Everything about those kisses was perfect and absolute, including the emotions behind them. That's why he still had hope that Minho would change his approach. No one would kiss someone they didn't have feelings for like that.

His constant distraction didn't go unnoticed, though. He received frequent scoldings from the chief and Jeongin asked him multiple times if he was ok. Despite Jeongin asking about his wellbeing, Jisung could tell that he, too, was distracted but for another reason. One involving a flourishing new love, much unlike Jisung's current state. When Jisung got the chance, he liked to flip the question on Jeongin and ask how his "friend" was doing with the advice he had given. Jeongin's flustered reaction never failed to make Jisung laugh.

He swivelled in his chair, trying to find the motivation to get some work done and glanced over to Jeongin to see how much he had done. Unsurprisingly, Jeongin was grinning at his phone as he texted a very certain someone.

"Who are you texting?" Jisung asked, leaning forward and propping his chin on his hand, although the answer was more than evident.

"No one!" Jeongin exclaimed, immediately switching his phone off and huddling over his work. Jisung smiled fondly, shaking his head as he made a mental note to ask Hyunjin how things were going later.

Until then, he desperately had to get some work done and stop thinking about Minho, although that was damn near impossible.

Jeongin still had no idea how he felt. He had yet to give Hyunjin an answer to his unexpected confession and still couldn't decide on an answer. Looking back, he had overreacted to Hyunjin's words. Maybe it was the uncertainty, the confusion or the fear of going against beliefs that had been instilled in him from youth. He hated to admit it but he was scared. Everything about his confused feelings shook him to the core and it was almost impossible for him to accept them.

To make matters worse, he couldn't get his head around how Hyunjin could love someone like him. He was incredibly immature and childish. He was stupid enough to pull the trigger when he shouldn't have. On the other hand, how could he dare to like Hyunjin? If anything, he should feel guilty and repent for his careless actions. Instead, he had the audacity to feel butterflies every time their eyes met. He felt rushes of serotonin when Hyunjin said his name. He could spend endless hours reading Hyunjin's messages.

This couldn't simply be an emotional debt, could it?

However, up until that point, Hyunjin had been a stranger to Jeongin. He didn't know the man well enough to trust him, yet, yet he found himself ready to die for him. What if Hyunjin had a hidden agenda?

Both confusion and fear of trust made it difficult for Jeongin to give Hyunjin an answer. Hyunjin thankfully didn't pressure Jeongin for an answer, but Jeongin could tell that the anticipation was tormenting him on the inside. Despite this, they had plans to meet up after Jeongin was done with work and Jeongin was determined to give Hyunjin a definite answer.
