"Fine. We'll work together."

"I knew you'd come to your senses in the end. So-"

"But," Jisung interrupted, "you can't tell anyone."

"Obviously." Minho rolled his eyes.

"And I'm still in charge."

"If you say so."

"And you still have to go about your normal life, ok? This is just on the side."

"Alright."

"And you-"

"Jisung, shut up!" Minho yelled, cutting Jisung off. "I'm not stupid." He added, in a displeased voice.

"Sorry." Jisung laughed, sheepishly.

"Don't worry about it." Minho said, getting up from the sofa. "Anyways, I'm off and I'll see you, hopefully, in the not too distant future." He smiled, winking at Jisung, before taking his leave and left Jisung frozen on the sofa, confused.

What had he just done?

He grabbed a pillow from beside him and pressed his face into it, screaming at the top of his lungs. He couldn't believe after all that, Minho got his way with him. He had done everything by himself this whole time and he let a stranger change that?

But, no matter how he looked at it, Minho had a valid point. How predictable must Jisung have been, pulling the same charade everytime? Although he hated the idea of working with Minho, it may provide some progress for his side of this war.

Besides, Jisung wasn't that naive. He had his suspicions about Minho from the very beginning and the fact that more than one of the victims were personally related to him was a red light for Jisung. Despite it being dangerous, Jisung was going to utilise this opportunity to either clear or confirm his doubts.

He just hoped his plan wouldn't turn on him.

The next day, Jisung was out with Seungmin for his patrol duties but, as usual, he hadn't gotten far before running into the one person he didn't want to see: Minho.

"Jisung!" Jisung heard that annoyingly familiar voice yell out from behind him and began walking faster. Seungmin tried to look back to see who it was, but Jisung grabbed his arm and dragged him along.

"Jisung!" Minho yelled louder, causing Jisung to speed up.

"Jisung, I think someo-" Seungmin began, but was cut off by Jisung, who shushed him angrily.

"Why are you running?" Minho's voice sounded as if he were on the verge of laughing and Jisung noticed people turning their heads to see what the noise was about. But, that was the least of his worries for now.

"Jisung, I'm tired!" Seungmin cried, halting. Now, this wouldn't be a problem, since Jisung didn't really mind leaving Seungmin in the dust, right then. However, he forgot that he still had hold on Seungmin's arm and was pulled back when Seungmin stopped. This gave Minho the three seconds he needed to catch up and grab Jisung's shoulder, turning him around so they were facing each other.

"Am I that scary?" Minho asked, panting as he kept his grip on Jisung's shoulder in fear that he would run away again.

"Seungmin, what kind of a police officer are you?" Jisung scolded Seungmin, ignoring Minho completely. "What if we were chasing a thief or something? Would you stop just because you're tired?" To which Seungmin shrugged, as if to say 'my bad'.
