Bonus Six - Halloween

(AN- Happy Halloween!!)

Halloween in Japan was not like Halloween in the United States or anywhere else in the West. There was no such thing as trick-or-treating for example. Instead, a lot of Japanese citizens took the Holiday as a chance to show off cosplay and enjoy the parties that would be taking over the city for the night. While summer festivals were more popular and attended, the crowds on Halloween were always filled with younger people who wanted to have a fun night.

It was no different for your little family tonight it seemed.

"Now what did we agree on, Ko?" You asked your daughter as you finished her hair.

"Stay in sight! Don't talk to strangers! Don't be mean to strangers!" She called out eagerly, making you gently ask her to sit still.

Katsuro sat on the floor behind you two. He waited patiently for his turn to have his mother help him get ready for the party tonight. His chosen costume was next to him still folded up and neat. You hummed gently, looking over Katsuko, and then nodded to her in the mirror.

Your daughter sprang up and dashed in circles around her brother. Katsuro clapped his hands, happy that his sister was so happy. After her energy burst of excitement, you picked up your baby boy, though he was now five and not so much a baby anymore, and started to help him with his costume.

"We need to hurry! Hicchan and Yucchan are going to think I'm not coming!!" Katsuko rushed you.

"They know we're coming." You told her and shook your head. "Now be respectful to your brother. He waited for you to get dressed."

Katsuko pouted a moment but caught her brother's eyes in the mirror. He played with his fingers, looking nervous about tonight and the costume he was dressed in. Katsuko smiled brightly, her little brother watching her and returning a smile of his own a moment later. Always the good big sister it seemed.

"We'll keep the hood down, but you can put it on later if you want, Tsuro." You told him and gave Katsuro one more look over. "You look ready! You both do!"

Katsuro nodded eagerly while his sister cried in joy. The pair of kids rushed out to the door and you had to yell at them to stop before they ran out without you. You quickly put on your costume and then followed the pair out the door. Time to head downtown.

The trains in particular were always interesting on Halloween. It had become a tradition for the trains to become a sight of a party every Halloween. So there were lots of young adults dressed like zombies, anime characters, vampires, and even a few heroes mixed among the regular commuters on their business attire. It was a hilarious sight.

Katsuro clung to your leg tightly as another twenty-something-year-old got on board. The make-up was very well done, as it looked like her mouth was slit up to her ears. It seemed that yokai like Kuchisake-onna were popular costumes this year. But to your son, this woman and others looked to be lifelike and he no doubt was feeling nervous.

You simply picked him up and held him in your arms. His head pressed into your chest to hide from all the scary monsters about. You hushed him and when he seemed to be calmed, you noticed what your daughter had been up to in the minute you had taken your eyes off of her.

"You look like a bad guy!" She declared loudly to someone poor teen dressed up as Devil Akemi Homura. " My daddy beats up bad guys! So don't do anything bad or he'll beat you up!!"

"Bakugou Katsuko." You sighed and gently pulled your daughter towards you. "That wasn't nice to say. People can look however they want, whether its Halloween or not. And we don't judge a book-"
