"Are you ready?" I turned around to Jaehyun, who was wearing a light blue dress shirt which he rolled up to his elbows. He was neatly dressed and was standing beside me with an air of confidence and charisma. I gave him a small smile and gave myself a once-over before smoothing my sweaty palms on my pants.

"Don't be nervous. I promise to make a good impression," Jaehyun said as he took my hand in his and gave it a gentle squeeze.

"I know. Sorry, this is the first time I'm introducing my lover to my dad. I can't help but be nervous," I admitted.

"I'll be with you all throughout the night. Everything will be fine,"

My eyes met his and the jitters I felt awhile ago melted into a puddle of self doubt. He looked so handsome with the setting sun's soft yellow rays behind, making him looked like he was glowing. My gaze travelled down on our intertwined hands and I gave out an involuntary sigh of relief. I knew it was my sudden idea from our last night lovemaking but I never expected that my dad would be free today. In a quick exchange of greeting, I was able to tell him that I wanted to introduce my boyfriend to him. And here we are, now standing outside my family home.

Clearing my throat, I reached out my free hand and open the front door. Then, I stepped inside the entrance hall pulling Jaehyun behind me in a quick succession,  afraid that I might changed my mind.

As usual the house was quiet but homey. Designed like an expensive suburban residence in shiny wooden floors with a mixed of white and gray furniture. It was fit for someone who was rarely at home. Our house only consist with five staff in total not counting the bodyguards outside. One butler, two maids, one chef, and one gardener. With my dad not being around most of the time, he decided to have few staff just to make the house more 'lively'. But in truth, I believe that he could do without them.

One of the maids appeared out of nowhere and greeted us with a wide smile on her face. "Good evening, young master," she greeted me with delight as she took my coat and pointed towards the hallway that leads to the dining area. "Your father is waiting at the table."

"Thank you," I replied curtly as my eyes watched hers hover at Jaehyun's face a few seconds longer than I wanted. "C'mon, hon. Let me introduce you to your future father-in-law," I said to Jaehyun with much sweetness as I can that made him looked at me with interest.

"Lead the way," Jaehyun gave me a dimpled smile that made my stomach flutter. He gave the maid a nod and took my hand again as we walked towards the dining area. "Father-in-law?" he whispered in my ear.

"I hate how she looks at you,"

"I see," he said simply with a wide smile on his face.

I was about to respond to him when I saw our butler walking towards us. "Ah! Young master! I do apologize for not greeting you at the entrance," he greeted in an apologetic tone.
