Running through an unknown territory for most wolves is considered dangerous, running through an unknown territory with a very powerful Alpha scent all over it is considered suicide but that doesn’t faze me. Sure some high and mighty Alpha may run these lands, but not for long, no if I have anything to do with it.

I look around as I reach a massive meadow, taking in the well trodden but otherwise out of control grass. This is where the scent is strongest, the scent of werewolf. My nose is filled with the mixed scents of six or more individuals, all male except one. Her scent is pungent and sweet but also powerful mixed in within the male werewolves scents. She seems to have been everywhere the Alpha has, almost like they’re knitted together but the smell has no sigh of being mated. After wolves mate for the first time in wolf form they begin to carry a scent which automatically tells all others to back off, there is no need for any kind of mark as the invisible link that knits them together. God, it sounds awful. Maybe she is to be the Alpha-female

Maybe I will make the she-wolf my own after I take this territory, that way the pack will never forget me. Not that they ever do.

I reach my new residence, a small house on the outskirts of town, late that night. I quickly start unpacking my stuff, making myself at home. I guess I’ll see this pack at school on Monday. It’s strange, usually I get a signal as I walk into an occupied territory telling me there is an Alpha in the area but today I got nothing. Maybe this pack is weaker than I’ve been told, but that wouldn’t match the power caught up in the scent of the pack. Oh well, only time will tell.
