Arin decided to go for a semi-casual look, as he quickly combed his hair for his date with Pari. He was part-annoyed and part-interested in the turn of events. He knew Pari was making him work for her and he had better to do running a huge company. But he always liked a challenge, and more importantly winning it, and Pari was no exception.

Arin: I'll pick you up at 7?

Pari: Ok. But where are we going?

Arin: You'll know when we get there

Pari: But I don't know what to wear :(

Arin: Just wear something good

Pari: how good? (Rolling his eyes at the fuss this woman was making)

Arin: Where something dressed-up, I gtg bye.

Pari stood still staring at the phone, he just bailed...what an ass. After pondering for half-an hour, her mother - her fashion guru- came, and she pulled out a simple dress with enough threadwork and embellishments for a dinner. After all, better to be over-dressed than under-dressed.

Arin: I'm outside

Arin: I'm outside

Pari quickly slipped on the hills, as she bid her mother farewell. Truth be told, she was excited, it was her first official date. In school, her parents were strict, urging her to focus on herself and her academic activities, while in the later years, she was neck-deep drowning in work. She was excited regardless of how they end up.

Pari ran outside when she saw Arin playing with her two dogs in the front yard. They seemed to like him, she internally cursed her weak mind that melted at the sight. Her dogs were the cheat code into getting closer to her, unconsciously shaking her head to regain the composure, she stepped closer greeting Arin. Arin nodded back as he stepped past her to greet her mother, he smiled showing his cute dimples, his eyes squinted slightly behind his glasses as his gaze softened. His politeness seemed to have impressed her mother, as she smiled back at him happily.

"Be back by 11" a voice echoed as Pari saw past her mother. She barely held back from rolling her eyes, her father was always like this, overprotective. Throughout school and college she always driven to every location with a chaperon. Her father only agreed to this, as from his small investigation, Arin seemed to have always been a good student with clean past and a good reputation to uphold.

"Yes, I'll get her back safe"

"Alright, Bye Mama, Bye Papa" Pari interrupted as she walked to the gate, closely followed by Arin.

The car ride was silent, Pari didn't want to initiate a conversation like in their 'first date', she waited for him to take the baton. But Arin being Arin, barely attempted to start small talk. He quietly drove the whole drive, sneaking glances at Pari who was quietly scanning the car.
