It had been a week since her endeavor. To keep her mind away from anymore 'illusions' she focused hard on her job and her new hobby...matchmaking.
Who knew Katty, her intern friend from AISC and Malon would get together. Don't ask how, it just clicked when Katty happened to meet them at a lunch.
Pari was happy for Malon, though she clearly drew her boundaries to not lead Malon on, she did feel a bit of guilt. They had been inseparable seen childhood, she tried but couldn't look at him romantically. But now, he finally moved on.
San was the most upset though, since he was the only single guy in the group but Pari knew its just a matter of time before he falls heads over heel for a new girl.
It was a short lunch. Malon dropped Pari on the way; he said it was on his way to work but he needed an excuse to talk to her.
Pari lowered the window as she soaked in the sun lathered wind.
'Pari?' Malon eyed her in the corner of his eye
'mm?'
'How are you doing these days?'
'Good. Why do you ask?' Pari answered lazily, eyes still closed. But he noticed her hands tensed, clutching onto her purse.
'you know you can tell me anything right?'
'Yea I know'
'You went to bluestone, didn't you?' Malon shot the question
Pari's eye burst open as she stared at Malon, 'How do you know? Did you spy on me?'
'No I would never, you changed ever since that day' Malon defended himself earnestly 'so what happened'
'It was a prank' Pari lied pathetically. 'I'm waiting for the real answer Pari'
She opened and closed her mouth like a fish as Malon impatiently tapped on the steering wheel. She eagerly looked away, shuting her eyes; trying to organize her thought. She was isolated from the world, in her mind, but his tapping sound intimidatingly continued.
tap...tap...tap
She remembered confronting Arin, the room in Bluestone, their arguments and...tap.
Her eyes shot open! 'Malon! Go to Bluestone hotel right now!!!'
The car nearly swirled off the road 'Oh God! Pari you scared the shit out of me, what's wrong?'
'Malon I'll explain on the way, just do as I say right now. Trust me!'
Without a question, his police skills tuned in as the car picked up speed, as if chasing after the thief, or rather chasing the truth for Pari.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Room 418 stood in front of her again. Last time it was the cause of her embarrasment.
Pari and Malon had sneaked in from the workers entry to stay out of Arin's radar, but she knew it was only a matter of time, before the hotel staff informed him about her Presence.
Pari quietly stole the master key from the cleaners which she swiped across the lock.
It was quiet, bare, ordinary. For a moment Pari questioned her sanity again. But she promised herself, this would be the last time, the very last time.
She quickly hurried to the wall behind the bed and she remembered the incidents that occured the last time she was here.
She threw her car key in frustration at the wall behind the bed and what did she hear 'tap'
