Malon and Pari sat silently in the car, neither saying a word. Malon cleared his throat, snapping Pari out of her thoughts.

'Now?' He carefully quesitoned

'Now what?'

'What are you going to do?'

'What should I do?'

'Forget about it all'

'What?' Pari snapped at him

'Pari, don't get in this mess. About the search, I'll just say he was threatening you or something and get you out of my senior's radar'

'Malon, what do you mean?'

'Pari, naturally you are one of the suspects, but it won't be hard clearing your name, so just don't look into this matter anymore'

'I can't do that' Pari curtly replied, looking ahead at the search party.

'Pari...'

'Malon, this is somehow related to me, this man out of nowhere shows up at my engagement asking me to call him...if I had...If I he might have been alive' Her eyes watered, voice shaking

Malon patted her shoulder, Pari nudged his hand away and looked him straight in the eye.

'Malon, I regret not calling him, the least I can do for him now is find out who murdered him?'

'Pari, there's probably someone big behind this and you don't even know the man, what if he was a criminal or something terrible. We couldn't even find his fingerprint on the register for fuck's sake!'

'Yes, I know. We don't know anything, that's why I must know'

'Pari, where will you even start?'

Pari didn't reply to Malon's question, but she knew very well where to begin...bluestone hotel.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The hotel rose to great heights, glittering against the bright cityscape. luxurious.  But she had to be careful, she's been here a couple of times with Arin and couldn't risk being recognized. She quietly made her way across the lobby and to the lift all the while lowering her head.

It was still 7.10, she quickly jammed the buttons to the top floor. She unfolded the crunched paper, Room 418.

To her relief the corridor was empty, but oddly that it was too quite. She quickly hurried down the corridor...415....416....417...419...

What?

418 wasn't even there...she went back and checked again...the room didn't exist. It was 7.13pm already!

Suddenly the lift opened. Pari hurried to the other end of the corridor and hid at at the turning. Her heart pushed against her rib cage, but she knew something was very off. Cursing herself for not bringing Malon along, she quietly peeked to see to large figures emerge. In between was short, fat man adorned with gold.

A funny looking guy no doubt but she knew he was no ordinary man. They stood in front of room 417 and quickly looked around, Pari almost lost her balance before she peeked in again and saw the most astounding thing happen.

They rang the bell 4 times and a keypad appeared next to it. The typed something in it and the door opened. They entered into the dark, all the while looking around. Pari didn't want to risk getting caught in between these scary men, but as she was about to leave the gruesome image of the man's corpse flashed across her mind.

This was her chance, she couldn't risk coming tomorrow and loosing the one clue she had. She hastily shared her live location to Malon and placed her phone on the inside pocket for emergencies. She waited for a while and quietly approached room 417.

She took a deep breath and repeated the man's action. When the keypad emerged she took the risk and punched in 418.

To her surprise the door opened and all she saw was pitch black darkness. She couldn't even make out the slightest object, couldn't even notice if someone was standing in front of her. She felt nauseated, but she took a step inside and closed the door behind her. Here goes nothing.

As the door clicked, faded neon lights appeared on the floor. She timidly followed the line, she still couldn't make out her surroundings. She followed the line for quite sometime. Where does this even end?!

After a few stairs and turns, she reached another door. With a deep, deep breath the placed her hand on the knob, instantly, its coldness sent shivers down her spine.

Another deep breath, she opened the door and she was shocked at the sight before her.

It was a club. Blaring music pounding against her chest, faint lights around the hall, and one spotlight on the fighting ring at the centre. She was glad for the crowd, the darkness and towering figures allowed her to quietly slide past the crowd without getting much attention. There was a drinking, shouting, gambling, women with scant clothes....it was by no means an exaggeration, a sin city.

Suddenly, horns pierced through the air, and surprisingly the crowded place grew eerily quite. A bulky man stepped into the fighting ring as people began houting. Then Pari noticed everyone looking at the other end of the room, on an elevated platform, there were smartly dressed men lapped in luxury and a tall figure rose, and as he did, everyone fell silent again. His back was facing her as he ripped off his shirt, he didn't have to turn, to realize who it was.

Her stomach churned in the most unpleasant way, her knees heavy. He quietly walked to the ring, each step with power and confidence as people began slightly bowing their heads and greeting him. With every step he took, her heart ached, she didn't want to accept it.

He stepped on the fighting ring, the light falling on his sculpted body, illuminating the face that belonged to her lovers' and it was confirmed.

The man in the ring was no other than.....Arin.
