I know that this is stupid, but I had no other ideas.
Loki
It was Thursday. I hadn't seen Mobius ever since we confessed our feelings for each other, and I was concerned about him. As far as I know, he also hasn’t said anything to Hela about his whereabouts. When genius hour came, I didn’t see him there.
“Have you seen or heard from him today?” I asked Hela, hoping that she had.
“I’m sorry, but I haven’t.” She apologized, looking at me sympathetically.
“It’s alright.” I assure her, my sadness written all over my face. “It isn’t your fault.”
She let out a frustrated sigh, and stepped out of the room, pulling out her phone. I walked over to the door, which was slightly opened, and listened.
“It’s been days Mobius, you could have answered this call, my past calls, or any of my texts.” She said rather angrily. Mobius obviously didn’t pick up. “Loki’s worried, and I’m worried. We haven’t seen or heard of you, so please call or text me please. I need to know that you’re okay.”
When she removed her phone from her ear, I rushed back to my seat. All of them gave me looks of sympathy, Val even giving me a side hug. I looked over to Hela when she walked in, who shook her head in disappointment.
I wanted to cry. I knew that something like this would happen. I share my feelings, then he disappears without any contact with me or any of his friends. Then a phone rang out. I looked to the source, and it was Hela. She looked at her screen then stepped out of the room once again. I wanted to go listen to the conversation, but Val was still holding me and I didn’t want to force her to move.
When Hela came back she had a stone faced mask on her face. She was hiding something she didn’t want me to know. I got even more worried. If she is hiding her feelings, then something is wrong. Something is really, really wrong.
“We need to make a stop before we go home.” Hela told me.
“Is something wrong?” I asked.
“It’s just something that we need to do.” Was all she said, then walking away.
I didn’t say much for the rest of the day. I was so scared that I would start crying my eyes out, but I didn’t need that memory in my life to keep me up at night as some mistake that I regret and am embarrassed of for the rest of my existence. So I pushed my feelings down until we left to go wherever we were going.
When we arrived, I realized we were at the hospital, which scared me. I didn’t ask any questions, I just followed her inside. I was now sure that if I said something, I would end up an unconsolable, bawling mess.
“Wait here.” Hela commanded, before going to the front desk.
I waited patiently for Hela, on the verge of crying. When she was done talking to the lady at the front desk, she waived for me to follow her. I followed her down the dull hallways of the hospital, expecting the worst. Then she stopped in front of a room, then turned to look at me.
“Please don’t cry, they say it might scare him.”
Mobius
Two people walk into my room. One I immediately recognized, Hela, but she looked a bit older than the last time I remember seeing her, but the guy, I didn’t recognize. He was very attractive though.
“What do you remember?” Hela asked. “Do you remember him?”
“I remember coming out to you.” I stated. “I don’t remember him.”
The boy left the room without a word and I felt guilty. Maybe dad got to me. He didn’t seem happy when I told him I was gay. Hela looked saddened as the boy left, which made me feel more guilty.
“Who is he?” I asked.
“He’s my foster brother.” She told me. “You had feelings for each other. You guys had just expressed your feelings for each other when this happened.”
“What did happen to me?” I asked. My head feels like it has been put through a brick wall.
“I haven’t had the chance to talk to your mother, she is currently in custody along with your dad, but from what I can assume, something happened with your dad, maybe you were protecting your mom, and he caused you so much head trauma that you lost over a year of memories.” She told me.
“Will I get them back?” I ask, a little worried. I wanted to remember her foster brother.
“From what I understand, eventually.” She told me.
“What is his name, your brother?”
“Loki.”
