A bit more than a Tutoring Session

Bruce

It was Saturday and I went over to Thor's house because he asked me to help him with his math once again. He wasn't bad at math, it just took him a bit longer to grasp the concepts than everyone else. I arrive and knock on the door, Thor immediately opening the door for me.

"Hello Bruce!" He greeted with a smile.

"Hi." I say, now more comfortable in his presence than when I started. "How have you been?"

"I've been well, you?" He asks, his voice booming as I walk in and he heavily pats my back.

"Good." I answer simply.

"Okay, lets go to my room then." He says, not sounding as confident as I am used to him being.

I nodded and followed him to his room. He looked nervous, which was weird. He's never been nervous, at least not around me. We walk into his room, it looking just the same. Nothing here to be nervous about. Strange.

He sits at his desk and I sit next to him, his stuff already out. We start, but it seems like he already knew this stuff. Well, he did know this stuff, we worked on it on Thursday. But he usually mostly forgets some of it by now and I usually have to remind him of and help him remember what he had forgotten.

There was another thing. The two of us had gotten closer to each other. I didn't say anything because I kind of enjoyed it and I didn't want to scare him and have him move away. Or worse, ask me to leave. I liked spending time with him, even if the only reason why we were spending time together was because Thor needed a tutor.

"It looks like you don't need me to tutor you on this section anymore." I tell him. "You have the hang of this."

"Well, I just wanted to be sure I wasn't doing anything wrong." He explained.

We were now looking at each other, faces only an inch apart. I didn't move, nor did he. I looked him in the eye, trying to ignore the fact that he was very close to kissing me, and it seems that he was doing the same. There was a knock on his door, and we jump back a little.

"Do you boys need anything?" Frigga asked through the door, and he looks at me. I shake my head.

"No thank you mom, we're okay." Thor calls back, still looking at me.

He is still looking at me. He his hand reaches for my face and fixes my glasses, placing them back up on the bridge of my nose. That same hand goes to cup my cheek. We are so close. So, so close. But then I had to ruin it for myself, because I panicked.

"I– uh– think I should go." I say, breaking Thor from his trance, his hand dropping from my face.

I rush out of his room, but leave the house as calmly as I could so I wouldn't rise any suspicion from his family. Today's tutoring session was more eventful than I expected it to be.
