I should have seen this coming. I have been late on rent more than once, this really shouldn't have been surprised.

"Nat, can I come live with you temporarily?" I ask my friend.

"Sorry, I don't think my family can support one more mouth, why?"

"I'm getting evicted. I have a week." I tell her shamefully.

"We'll figure something out." She tries to reassure me.

"Thanks." I mutter, not really comforted by that.

My day went on, and the eviction hung over my head. At the end of the day, I was prepared to go home when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turn around and see Tony standing there behind me.

"Natasha told me that you needed a place to stay for a bit and there is an extra room or two." He offered me, no question.

"You don't need to, I can just sleep at someone else's house. You barely know me." I tell him, trying my best to to offend him or sound offended in any way.

"It's alright." He assures me. "My dad barely notices anything new and my mom wouldn't mind you staying with us."

"Are you sure you don't mind?" I ask again, being sure that he was he was actually okay with this.

"Yeah." He stated. "She said that she would meet you at your place. She also will tell you if I am still at the school when you are done packing your stuff."

"Okay." I tell him before going off to my car and leaving.

Tony was right, Nat was waiting for me at my apartment, and she already started to pack what little furniture I had to decorate my home.

"I will be storing your stuff in my basement for when you'll need it again, you are going to go into your room and pack all of your clothes into the bags I brought you." She instructed me.

Once we are all done, Nat tells me that Tony had a ride home and that someone will be helping me with my bags. I drive over there and park and text Nat to text Tony that I was there and parked. I stand at my car for a few minutes and an older man approached me.

"Sir, are you Mr. Strange?" He asked.

"Uhm, yeah." I say, then I open up my trunk and he helps me carry my bags.

I followed him inside an apartment complex and we went up to a floor, and honestly I was surprised to see what I saw, even though I probably shouldn't have. It looked as though Tony and his family lived up here, on the entire floor.

The man shows me too a room with a soft looking bed and a chest of drawers.

"Do you need any laundry done sir?" The man asked.

"If you tell me where the laundry room is, I could do it myself." I offer.

"I see your independent." The man said with a smile. "Less work for me then. It's done the hall to the right. The detergent is on top of the washing machine."

I smile and thank him and take one of my bags down there. I do two loads of laundry before I smell something. I bring my folded clothes to my room before going to figure out the smell.

The table was set for four, only three plates full of food. A woman and Tony were at the table, eating, so I thought I would sit and join them.

"So you're the boy that's going to be staying here with us for a while." The woman states kindly.

"Yeah." I answer. "My name is Stephen... Strange."

"My name is Maria, I am Tony's mom."
