Chapter 20 - Mr. & Mrs.

It was the day of the wedding and V stood in front of the mirror. She found this perfect A-Line Off-the-Shoulder Asymmetrical Tulle Lace Cocktail Dress. It was the perfect shade of blue that matched Dabi's eyes. Rei had hired someone to do her hair and makeup and even had them put some of the rindou flowers in her hair.

"Dear, I want you to meet someone before we start the wedding." Rei was standing by the door and looked like a classic beauty.

"Of course." V gave herself one last look.

Rei held the door open, "Fuyumi was able to catch a last minute flight to be here."

"Oh my gosh, you're here? We would have understood." V rushed to give her a hug.

"What? And miss my big brother's wedding to the woman that melted his heart and brought him back to the family? You know how long I've been waiting for this day? I wouldn't have missed it."

Rei was trying not to cry but she was overwhelmed with all the emotions she had been holding in for years, "I'm so happy you came into our lives, I'm sorry that it started with a tragedy but I am glad it brought you here."

"You know, I'm happy too. I feel a sense of peace and can feel them. I believe they are thankful I found happiness again." V, Rei and Fuyumi embraced each other.

There was a knock on the door, "Can I come in?"

"Yes of course Mr. Todoroki, I wanted to talk to you real fast if that's ok?" V looked back in the mirror to double check her makeup.

"Thats fine and you can call me Enji or dad. Or how about pops?"

"I'm going to go see Dabi before it starts. Welcome to the family V." Fuyumi gave V a quick hug and left.

V was nervous all of the sudden, "Can we sit?"

Rei looked concerned as her and Enji sat on the couch, "What's wrong dear, are you nervous?"

"Umm yes but not about the wedding itself. I wanted to ask you something Enji. If you would do me a favor." V was looking down at her hands and then his large hands held hers.

"You can ask me for any favors you want, I will make it happen. I owe you so much that I will never be able to repay you."

V looked up and smiled, was she really holding hands with the man she oozed hate for? "Will you walk me down the aisle?"

Rei gasped and Enji held his breath. Rei had to nudge him in the side so he would speak. "That is a huge honor, are you sure? I thought you would have asked Shigaraki."

"Dabi wanted to have Shiggy stand as his best man. I thought I would be ok with walking alone but I've been thinking about it and I woke up this morning and it was clear as day. I would be honored if you walked with me."

"Yes .." Enji said in a higher starined voice, he coughed and added in his regular voice, "I mean of course and the honor is all mine."

Rei began to cry "We are so blessed, I knew this day would come where we were one family again."

"Oh but can we keep it a secret, I want to surprise Dabi."

"I think he might notice his father missing but I won't say a word." She gave V a hug and then got up to leave, "We will start in 5 minutes."

V stood and pulled a flower from her hair and found a pin, "I think you need this." She reached down and pinned the flower on his collar. "Perfect."

Enji nodded, "ok are you ready?" He held his arm out for her and she took it.

"Ready as I'll ever be, dad." She gave his arm a squeeze and he patted her hand. They heard the music start and walked towards the alter.
