It was messy.
Watching everyone evacuate. You hid near the side of the house, watching as monsters shoved and pushed one another to leave Snowdin. Some showed signs of distress. Some were stoic. And some were sad.
You didn't know where Frisk was exactly, but no one was going to take any risks.
Papyrus had instructed that the citizens of Snowdin move to hotland and Undyne to keep the rest of the monsters in order.
The only good thing that came out of this is that Sans and your relationship was less awkward.
He didn't avoid you or shoot you weird looks. Of course, the tension still followed you around, that wasn't going to change. But it felt a lot more comfortable.Undyne had instructed Papyrus to track down the human. Not that you doubted his strength, but you were frightened of them. Frisk. Or Chara.
Whatever.Flowey had offered to scout the area for any signs of the human. He had been gone for less than an hour and you were filled with worry.
"Hey, idiot. Yer spacin' out."
A skeletal hand waved in front of your face, snapping you out of your thoughts."Oh, sorry Sans. Just thinking."
"'Bout what?"
"Well, this. This.. is.. Okay I don't know what to make of this situation. It's just a lot."A silence flew past you, brushing your (h/c) hair. But.
It was surprisingly comfortable."Sans, what was my relationship like? With Toriel and Frisk?"
Sans hesitated, seemingly contemplating on something."Ya didn't know Tori that well. Ya barely knew her. And Frisk.. Er.. They weren't exactly comfortable around you."
"Comfortable?"
"There was 'nother human. Must'a said somethin', cause the kid avoided ya."
"Another human?"
"Yep. Name's (R/n), she was a gurdian to Frisk I guess? Dunno much 'bout them."(R/n)... The name sounded so familiar. These resets were so infuriating. How you wished you could remember. Why couldn't you remember?
"And, what was (R/n) to you guys..?" You asked. It was a foolish question. But you were curious...
...for no reason at all.Sans' smirk widened. "Why ya wanna know, dollface?"
You glared at the skeleton and looked away. In a poor attempt to hide your burning cheeks.
"I'm just curious. It's not like I really remember much."
Sans chuckled, then walked over to you and placed his phalanges on your head. Your face slowly burned at the sudden contact.
His expression softened at the feeling of such soft hair getting stuck in between his phalanges.
He suddenly realized what he was doing and stuffed his hand back into his pocket.
"She was okay or whatever. Really had it out for ya though."Oh. Great.
"For fucks sake, why does everyone have it out for me. Why."
"'Cause ya wanted a second skeleton inside ya and she didn't like that?"What.
"No. No. Shut the fuck up you foul disgusting fucker. No." You pinched your nose.
This was insufferable.
Sans' smirk faded, clearly unamused."Can ya not sound so disgusted."
"Cry about it you-"
"Wait shh."
"Wh- No. You shut up-"Sans rolled his eyelights and pinned you against the side of the house, his hand pressed against your mouth.
You felt your heart race, as if it were running, sprinting. As if it would never calm down.It confused you.
But you weren't going to let confusion get in the way of your annoyance. You weren't going to make this any easier for him.
You scoffed before licking his hand, hoping he'd be repulsed and release his grasp on you. He stared at you with his eyelights slowly getting smaller and his cheeks flushing.Of course he'd find that attractive. Good lord.
But as he remembered what was happening, the expression disappeared and his face grew harsh.
"S-stop it! Just shut up for a sec!" He whisper-yelled. You were about to protest before you heard a distant voice approaching.
Your breath got caught in your throat. It felt suffocating.
