You sat up alarmed as a loud yell echoed in your ears.
"Do people have nothing better to do..?" You hissed. You sat up and looked over at your clock. 11:30am, it read.
You rolled your eyes and grunted, pulling the covers over your head. You were on the edge of sleep. You were about to fall back into unconsciousness before you heard another obnoxious screech coming from outside. Your eyes darted open, and you sighed.
It had been at least a week since you had met the flirtatious and rather odd skeleton, and hadn't ran into him ever since. Some part of you was relieved. Something about him made you feel uncomfortable. You had searched for other job applications but to your disappointment, there were none available. You were rather pissed off by this, and spent the last couple of days lazing around the house. Your sour mood didn't disappear, and your neighbours weren't much help. They were having sales almost daily, meaning you had to put up with the noise they made.
And lord, did they make a hell of a lot of noise.
You threw the pillow to the side, along with your silky blankets and go over to your window to
'To your surprise', they were having another auction today. It seemed as if they were already bidding.
You almost felt tempted to go down there and tell them to shut up or keep the noise down. But you felt the blood quickly drain from your face as something caught your attention. Something, or should you say...
Someone.
In front of your neighbours house was none other than the skeleton you had met a week ago.
Sans the skeleton.
He was standing amongst the crowd, hands in the pockets of his oversized jacket as he muttered something to a taller looking skeleton.
This skeleton looked to be around ten feet tall and towered above everyone at the auction. he wore a black shirt, with torn sleeves that stuck out from the side. He wore black pants, along with a red belt that pulled it all together and for shoes were huge red boots. But what was most noticeable about this skeleton was the huge scar that ran over his left eye.
A shiver was sent down your spine as you wondered where he could have possibly gotten that scar.
As you were looking at the taller skeleton, you didn't notice a set of red pupils staring at you intently.
You gulped, trying to convince yourself that it was a coincidence. Besides, it wasn't like you could accuse him of stalking you or something without evidence. But the way that humans treated monsters, you doubted that you would actually need evidence.
You decided that instead of having an iced coffee like you usually did for breakfast, you decided to go check out that new monster diner that had recently opened up. Grillby's, you thought it was called. You threw on a plain f/c shirt, some jean shorts and tied a black jumper around your waist.
You jogged down the stairs, and threw on a pair of brown boots that lounged beside your door. You walked out of your house and slammed the door behind you. You glanced up to take note of the sky. Today, the sky was a beautiful creamy blue, with thousands of impeccably white clouds that filled the sky. A blue butterfly flew past you, flying off to god knows where. But still, it filled you with determination to see such a beautiful thing first thing of a morning.
As you started to walk off, it dawned on you that you forgot something.
You face palmed yourself, and quickly ran back into your house to get your bag and keys. Once you had retrieved them, you walked back outside and locked the door behind you.
