Rays of sunshine kissed your head, soft gushes of wind brushed your hair onto your face. A low groan escaped your lips as your almost numb fingers brushed the strands of hair behind your ears.
You squinted your eyes, trying to remember how you'd ended up in this situation. Oh right, you had fallen down a hole that was on top of Mt Ebott. But there was no way you could have survived. The impact from the fall would have crushed your bones.
You attempted to sit up, however, you heard quiet cracks erupt from your back and neck, causing you to wince. You waited a few seconds before sitting up, taking in your surroundings. You looked down to your feet to notice a patch of grass and golden flowers - Buttercups planted all over the patch, evenly spread out.
However, that wasn't what caught your attention. In the corner was a figure of a person. Your eyes met a weak pair, a pair that belonged to a kid that looked a lot younger than you.
They had medium length brown hair that was messily pinned back, brown eyes that looked dull, showed no emotion. Dark eyeballs hung at the bottom of their eyes, making them seem older then she most likely was. They wore a blue and pink striped sweater, along with brown jeans that went all the way down to their ankles. They wore no shoes nor socks, leaving cuts and bruises along the sole and the side of the person's feet.
The more you continued to stare at the kid, a shiver was sent down your spine. This kid looked familiar - too familiar. It was almost as if you knew them. But that was impossible. You were certain that you had never met or seen this person in your life.
Once the kid had taken in their surroundings and became fully aware that they weren't alone, they looked at you with fear in their eyes, and scooted away from you, their hands defending their face.
"P-Please don't hurt me! I'm sorry!" The kid pleaded as they continued to move away from you, eventually their back meeting the wall of dirt, causing them to wince at the impact. You slowly and carefully approached the kid, raising your hands. The kid stared at your hands with pure fear as they shut their eyes.
You brought your hand to their feet, and carefully studied their cuts. "Why were you walking around with bare feet? Especially with cuts like these, they could become infected." You asked, causing them to stare at you with confusion. Their hands slowly lowered, yet you could tell that they were still skeptical of you.
You gently placed their foot onto your lap and reached into your pocket for a bandaid. Once you had found one, you carefully took off the plastic wrappings, and softly adjusted the bandaid on the kids foot. And you repeated this process a few times with each foot. The person was confused. Why were you helping them? You had just met after all. Why were you being so nice..?
Once you had finished putting on all the bandaids, you carefully lifted their foot and placed it back onto the dirt. "There you go, better?" You asked, shooting them a sweet smile. Their eyes widened, the sudden gesture making her even more confused.
"I'm (Y/n), and you are?" You said, as you stood up, offering them your hand. They stared at the palm of your hand before hesitantly placing theirs in yours. "M-my name is Frisk.." they muttered into their torn sweater, before stumbling. You quickly caught onto them, and adjusted their balance.
They looked into your (e/c) orbs, and looked down to their wounded feet. "Why are you helping me..? Why are you being so nice to me?" They asked. You shook your head, a small smile forming. "I'm not being nice to you because I feel obliged to, I'm being nice to you because I want to make sure that you're alright, even if I don't know you." You said calmly, shrugging your shoulders.
Frisk looked up to you, their eyes sparkling from the sun's rays. "Well, thank you (Y/n)." They said, bowing their head slightly.
"Don't mention it." You insisted. "So, where exactly are we?" They asked, scratching the back of their head.
