"Y/N! OPEN UP!" A raspy and rather annoyed voice called from your front door. You lifted your head from your bed to look outside the window. Undyne was pounding at your door, and from the dent marks that covered it, she wasn't far off from breaking down the door.
Your head sank back down, slowly melting into the soft pillow. Your h/l h/c hair falling on your face. You weakly extended your hand to reach your phone. The light from the screen made you wince, but as soon as your eyes adjusted, you scrolled through your notifications.
13 missed calls and 7 text messages from Undyne..
2 text messages from Alphys..
5 text messages from Papyrus..
You sighed. It had been at least a week since Sans' confession, and you felt terrible. You hadn't left your house for days in fear of making things worse with Sans, if you had run into him. Once Alphys, Undyne and Papyrus had gotten off their cart from the Ferris wheel, they had noticed your odd behaviour and took you home immediately. Papyrus had asked where Sans had gone, and you went silent. How would you tell them? Tell them that you had probably just made a huge mistake? You weren't sure whether you liked him romantically or not, but there's no way that you would ever want to stop being friends over a misunderstanding. You managed to inform Papyrus that he had teleported home, which earned a scowl from Papyrus, complaining how he shouldn't have left you alone in the cold.
You smiled meekly as you looked down at your hands, a few teardrops falling onto your soft (S/c) hands. 'If only you knew..'
While they were driving you and Papyrus home, they often attempted to ask you what had happened, but you couldn't bring yourself to tell them. You couldn't stop tears from rolling down your rosy cheeks. Once you had gotten home, you had silently thanked them and opened the car door, along with Papyrus. He had insisted that he walk you to the front door, but you had denied his offers. Undyne, however, didn't take no as an answer, and opened her car door and walked you to the front of your house. Before you dug through your bag to find your keys, she placed her cool, slender fingers on your shoulder, causing you to jump at the contact.
She gently turned you around to face her. Concern was plastered on her face as she leaned down to your eye level. "Please Y/N... I'm worried for you. What happened?" She muttered as she brought one of her fingers to your cheek to wipe a warm tear. You tried to avoid her gaze, guilt and fear building up inside of you. You took a deep breath, and looked at Undyne directly in her eyes.
"..I think I messed up. I fucked up big time Undyne.." You sobbed. Undyne's eyes widened, even more confused. "What happened? What did you do?"
You grinned as you shook your head slowly. "No, it's what I didn't do. I messed up with Sans.. I think- I think I like him, and I messed up." Undyne looked down at you with sad eyes, and sighed. "Look, I'm not gonna force you to spill what happened between the two of you's, but I'm sure that after you talk things through with him, it'll get better." She reassured.
"B-but, before the fair, he hadn't talked to me in weeks! That's how pissed he was at me? T-there's no way that we would talk to me.." You muttered, the last part a little quieter.
"You'll never know until you try talking to him. Now please try to calm yourself down, I'll come back to check up on you, okay?" Undyne said, as she gave your shoulders a reassuring squeeze.
You nodded, a small smile appearing on your face. "Thanks Unydne." She smiled sadly at you. "Oh, if you ever need me, or Alph, or Pap, here's our numbers. I'll give them yours too, if you want?" You nodded, feeling a lot calmer and relaxed. Once you had swapped numbers, and after convincing Undyne that you were fine, she gave you a small wave and headed back to the car.
