TW: Small mentions of death!

Something about kiss scenes filled your stomach with butterflies.

How descriptive authors were in their books. How one captured the others lips perfectly, moving them in synch. The texture, the feeling, the warmth.

The feeling that both of them conveyed in the kiss. It was so meaningful.

As it got more heated, it became a little gross but still something that made you wonder. Why. Why was such a passionate kiss necessary?

How was such a small gesture labelled as one of the most romantic things lovers could do? how was it able to break curses and spells, like in fairytales.

However, once Sans had pulled you into a kiss that met the criteria, it felt like a fairytale.

You had woken up with a splitting headache inside a dark lab. You saw the worried face of Flowey who was right beside you told you not to sit up - that your wounds could reopen at certain movements.

Papyrus was talking to what looked like a dinosaur/lizard (I dont fucking know ok-). Both of which showed signs of distress. Their voices were hushed, so you couldn't hear what they were talking about. They stopped once you woke up.

"YOU'RE AWAKE. GOOD. HOW DO YOU FEEL."

You shrugged. "Like I've just been impaled."

"Because you were." The reptile commented.

"What do yo-" The events of what had happened suddenly rushed back to you. Encountering Undyne.

Getting stabbed.

Undyne getting stabbed.

By Chara.

"What about Undyne? Is she okay?" You asked, dreading the answer you knew was coming. Alphys took in a deep breath.

"She's dead. That human killed her." Papyrus uncomfortably shifted his eye at his feet, suddenly taking great interest in them.

"Then, how did I get here?"

"I found you. I heard some noise in waterfall and saw you near the entrance of hotland. So I brought you here." Flowey muttered, avoiding contact. "Are you okay?" You asked, slowly sitting up.

Flowey's eyes widened. "Nonono! Sit back down!" He scowled, pushing you down with his roots. "You.. You just scared me.. Nothing to hurt yourself over."

You frowned. "I'm sorry, Flowey. But I'm fi-"

"You just got impaled! You could've DIED!" Flowey hissed. "If she had aimed that spear a little further, she could've killed you!"

Those last few words. You don't know how that sat. Almost killed you.

Could've killed you.

WOULD'VE killed you.

You shivered in discomfort. You silently hoped Undyne was resting peacefully. That she was at peace.

"...SANS! WAKE UP! THE HUMAN'S AWAKE!" Papyrus scolded, shaking Sans. Sans opened a socket, his eyelights trailing over to your weak and injured form.

He said nothing. He stayed silent.

"Well, the good thing is that you're stable. Although, y-you are an idiot for venturing on your own. You're lucky that I was able to save you, otherwise you'd be in Undyne's position." Alphys huffed, crossing her arms.

"I wasn't originally on my own, I just-" Your eyes briefly shifted over to Sans. He avoided your eyes.

"WHAT? HURRY UP AND SPIT IT OUT." Papyrus asked, crossing his hands. "BECAUSE IF MEMORY SERVES ME WELL, SANS WAS SUPPOSED TO KEEP AN EYE ON YOU."
