Till Death Take Us Together

"This...." Forth was unable to continue his speech. His throat tightened. His eyes filled with tears as he looked at Beam who smiled at him and looked at Forth with a look full of love.

Forth turned his attention to his friends, The Fantastic Four, The Crazy Doc Gank and their partner, his three brothers and their partner, as well as his parents.

"You all planned all this?"

They all laughed and nodded. Forth's tears spilled. Beam hugged Forth and landed a kiss on his lips. "Forgive my impudence, Poom. I asked all of them to help me, of course after I asked your family's blessing. Although at first I wasn't sure your family would accept me but Phi Gain convinced me that Jamorhnoom needed a doctor among the many engineers. And... this is it. all."

Forth cupped Beam's face and kissed his lips. "I don't know what good I have done in my previous life, that God gave me this much happiness, the most beautiful gift in my world, that is you."

Gary cleared his throat and pointed forward. Pastor Harid smiled at them and nodded understandingly.

Beam held Forth's hand and kissed both of Forth's palms. "Forth Jaturapoom Jamorhnoom, my Poom, will you marry me now?"

Forth pulled Beam into a hug and whispered against his neck. "That should have been my line, sweetheart, but you've gone a step further than me, so there's no way I'm standing still and letting you go your own way. Beam Baramee, I'm more than willing to marry you."

Everyone clapped. Pastor Harid invited Forth and Beam to stand in front of the altar. They both said their wedding vows, received blessings, exchanged rings and with a splash of holy water from Pastor Harid, were officially declared husbands.

The great hall of the hotel rumbled with applause and cheers as Forth and Beam kissed as an official sign.

"So that's why you've been using the excuse of having to work long shifts at the hospital all this time?" asked Forth, kissing Beam's forehead as they danced with the other guests.

"I only wanted one wedding in my life and I wanted everything to be perfect. I gave up all my parents' savings and inheritance to make this party but Phi Gain and Phi Torn refused and said that Jamorhnoom had a special fund for all the children's wedding expenses. They just wanted to take my money to buy a ring, order a suit, and order a wedding cake--and even then after a fight with Mom because she wouldn't let me pay for the cake."

"Baby, I hope you won't regret all this later, considering how useless I am. I even asked Max to give him the name of the shop where he ordered the ring--which I think he bought it to propose to Tul. I thought Phi Grant had ordered it and brought it here. I was about to propose to you, but you're much quicker to move."

"Well. You'll be working at sea soon and I'm in the hospital. I'm afraid the busyness will keep us apart even if our hearts stay connected. I must tie you up quickly so you don't turn away from me. At least, it will be a guarantee to keep myself and my sanity. while we're apart at work."

Forth kissed the tip of Beam's nose. "There is no worldly reason that can make me turn away from you, my love. Even death will not be a reason for us to part. You are my guardian angel. Without you, I am death. So, lets always together and make death have to take us together or nothing."

Beam blushed and he hid his face in the crook of Forth's neck. "I love you, Poom."

"I love you more than just a love, baby."

Forth and Beam went to a long table in front of the pool where their friends and seniors gathered to enjoy their meal. They cheered when they saw Forth and Beam approach and take a seat between them.

"I don't know how to thank you guys but, believe me, this is the best graduation gift and I owe you all for this gift," Forth said in a stuttering voice. His eyes welled up with tears as he stared at everyone at the long table.

Beam squeezed Forth's hand. "Both of us, Babe. We're both indebted to them for this wonderful feast and their insistence on keeping their mouths shut until the time comes."

"Believe me, Forth, Beam, I've almost run out of ways to silence Max who's always on the verge of spitting out." -- Tul

"Next time, don't ask Max to plan a surprise." -- Park

"Hey, I try so hard to hold back my words that my stomach hurts whenever I'm near Forth." -- Max

Everyone burst out laughing. Kongpob raised his glass as he stood up. "Let's have a toast, to Forth and Beam--the phenomenal couple who have brought the two together of engineering and medical faculty with their love. Our prayers will always be with you. Cheers, to Forth and Beam."

"To Forth and Beam!" everyone shouted and raised their glasses.

Forth and Beam finished their wine glasses in one gulp, then kissed amidst the thunderous applause and cheers of their friends.

"I love you, Baby. My life, now and forever, is just for you to have. Be my guardian angel till death take us  together."
