Wake Up, Forth!

Beam wiped the tears that couldn't stop flowing since an hour ago. Kit rubbed his back and Phana squeezed his shoulder gently.

"Would you like something to eat, Beam?" asked Park carefully. "You look very pale now."

"We'll buy food for you," Lam continued, patting Beam's arm gently. He turned to Phana and Kit. "You guys need to eat too. Wayo and Ming said you haven't had lunch yet."

"Don't worry, Park, Lam, we'll be going downstairs soon after Wayo and Ming. Please just buy some food for Beam. He also ate very little at breakfast this morning," said Phana.

Park and Lam nodded then left the room. Kit handed Beam a bottle of mineral water. "Drink, Beam. Your throat must be sore from crying all the time."

"What did I do to him, Pha, Kit," Beam sobbed as he kissed Forth's hand which was limp beside him on the bed. "I must have made him very sad."

"It wasn't because of you, Beam," said Phana. "The drunken man is to blame. Police say his blood alcohol level when he was arrested, was well above normal. Forth was on the right track and he was in a state of rest, sitting on his motorbike when the man it hit him from behind."

"He was crying, Pha. Forth was crying by the side of the road, recording his message for me. Can't you see the CCTV footage on the street? Forth crying because of me. Oh God, what have I done?"

Phanna was silent. They all watched the CCTV footage shown by the police who handled the accident case experienced by Forth this afternoon.

A car hit Forth who was sitting on the side of the road on his motorbike. The driver of the car was heavily intoxicated and he was seen driving recklessly all the way before crashing into Forth.

Beam couldn't help but burst into tears when he saw what Forth was doing on the side of the road. Forth was recording his voicemail while crying at the time.

The CCTV footage clearly captures how chaotic Forth was at that time. He suffered fractures in his left arm and right leg, a head injury and bruises  all over his body. Luckily he had clean fractures and no internal organs were injured.

Professor Kin and Doctor Vram who treated Forth said that he had the endurance of a bear and assured everyone that Forth would recover.

Beam was crying non-stop while waiting for Forth to get help. He was unconscious. Phana, Kit, Wayo and Ming accompanied him, along with The Fantastic Four who were already at the hospital.

Forth's parents were coming tomorrow afternoon straight from New York, as they were attending to their business there, with Forth's twin brothers--Grant and Wine.

They were relieved that Forth's condition was stable after receiving direct treatment from Professor Kin.

Park and Lam return with dinner for Beam and a variety of snacks. Phana and Kit said goodbye to follow Wayo and Ming who were waiting in the hospital lobby.

Lam forced Beam to leave his chair next to Forth's bed and sit with them on the couch for dinner.

"Don't be sad, Beam," Park said softly. "Forth will recover quickly. He is like a werewolf. He is tough and very strong. That's why we chose him as leader."

"In fact, even without us choosing him, he is a natural leader. Formed by his great family forging and his unyielding, fair, and loyal nature," Lam added firmly. "He's gotten even better after being with you."

Beam wiped the corners of his wet eyes. He regretted his stupidity for deciding to break up with Forth and stay away from him because of the problems Kenny caused.

He shouldn't have treated Forth like that, avoiding him all the time just because he was too afraid to face his own feelings.

The trauma of his past is too late to overwhelm him so he does not dare to face the reality that has not happened or will never happen. Forth loves Beam and he has proven it time and time again.

Forth was naive at times, but he also dared to take responsibility for his mistakes and follies.

Beam took a deep breath. "Park, Lam, you guys go home and rest. I'll take care of Forth."

Park opened his mouth to argue, but Lam squeezed his thighs and shook his head. "We'll be back tomorrow."

"Tell Max and Tul too. They must be tired of dealing with this accident with the police. You should rest."

"You should sleep too, Beam. Forth will scold us if he finds out we let you cry all night without sleep."

Beam smiled. He ushered Park and Lam to the door moments later and sat back down in the chair next to Forth. He took Forth's hand and kissed his palm.

"Wake up, Babe. I'll be waiting for you. I love you and I am sorry to cause you in troubled."

Beam closed his eyes and fell asleep with Forth's hand in his. The tip of Forth's index finger moved slowly.
