CHAPTER 9

Jennie hears Lisa talking to another person on the phone but can't quite hear it clearly. Jennie was about to knock on the door when suddenly Lisa opened it.

"Oh, mandu. Did you finish exploring this house?" Lisa asked.

"Y-yeah, who were you talking to?" Jennie asked.

"A friend of mine" Lisa smiled.

"It's almost lunch time, are we going to eat here or go outside?" Jennie asked.

"Do you mind if my friend comes here? I'm lazy for today to go outside" Lisa chuckled.

"Of course dumbass, what do we order? Or you want me to cook?" Jennie asked.

"Let's order, I don't want my friend to taste your delicious food" Lisa laughed.

"S-selfish monkey, ok then, what do you want to order?" Jennie asked while blushing.

"Hmm, order whatever you want" Lisa replied.

"Ok then" Jennie said, then ordered on her phone

After a few minutes someone rang the doorbell, it was Lisa's friend.

"Hey bro, what took you so long?" Lisa asked.

"I had a fight with a driver" Jungkook replied.

"Stupid" Lisa replied.

"He was so freaking stupid, keeps blocking my way" Jungkook irritably said.

"Dumbshit. Anyways, this is Jennie Kim. Jennie this Jeon Jungkook a.k.a dumbfuck" Lisa laughed.

"You are dumber than me, asshole" Jungkook groaned.

"I agree with you, Jungkook" Jennie laughed.

"I feel betrayed, Jennieyah" Lisa whined.

"Stop whining you like an ugly monkey" Jungkook said then rolled his eyes.

"You are getting on my nerves" Lisa groaned.

"Now now, stop bickering, the food is on the way" Jennie replied, trying to calm things down.

While waiting for the food, Jennie and Jungkook are still talking about themselves while Lisa is playing with her phone when suddenly her phone rang.

"What do you want chipmunk" Lisa asked.

"I'm bored, can I go there" Chaeyoung asked.

"Yes, I'm with Jennie and Jungkook, bring food on your way." Lisa replied.

"Okie dokie, I'm on my way" Chaeyoung said happily then hang up on the call.

"Chipmunk?" Jennie and Jungkook asked at the same time.

"Chaeyoung" Lisa said with a blank face.

"Let me tell you a secret, Jennie. Lisa always talks about you" Jungkook said, teasing Lisa.

"Oh fuck you" Lisa groaned.

"Why didn't you tell me Lisa that you had a crush on me" Jennie laughed.

"Why would I tell you that if it isn't true" Lisa rolled her eyes.

"Don't believe her, it is all written on her face that she clearly likes you, Jennie." Jungkook replied.

Jennie laughed then Lisa was about to punch Jungkook when someone rang the doorbell.

"You got lucky you fucking bunny" Lisa replied, angrily.

"Let me just tell you that I really have a feeling that Lisa likes you" Jungkook chuckled.

"How do you say so?" Jennie asked.

"She always smiles when she talks about you and when she is when with you" Jungkook replied.

Jennie was about to say something when Lisa interrupted.

"The food is here and also the chipmunk" Lisa replied then put the food on the table.

"Bunny!" Chaeyoung excitedly said.

"Yah don't call me that you chipmunk" Jungkook chuckled

"I brought tteokbokki and ramen" Chaeyoung happily said.

"What did Jennie ordered?" Jungkook asked.

"Chicken wings and some soda" Jennie replied.

"LET'S DIG IN!" Lisa and Chaeyoung happily said it at the same time.

All of them started to eat, and it wasn't enough so they ordered another batch of food, until they are satisfied enough. Jungkook then left after they ate because he had some business to do. Chaeyoung slept at the guest room. Jennie and Lisa were left in the living room, watching some shows at the TV.

"Are you ok now?" Lisa asked

"With what?" Jennie replied.

"You know, with the director" Lisa said.

"Honestly, I don't know neither. I still want to take on the case" Jennie replied.

"Just note that I will support whatever your decision is" Lisa replied with a smile.

"Thank you, Lisa" Jennie replied.

"I was thinking to get a day off and go for a trip." Lisa said.

"Trip to where?" Jennie asked.

"Jeju Island" Lisa replied.

"W-what?! That far away? With who?" Jennie asked.

"With my girlfriend" Lisa said bluntly.

"G-girlfriend?" Jennie replied sadly.

"Just kidding mandu, why so serious?" Lisa chuckled.

"Dumbass monkey" Jennie groaned.

"Perhaps you're jealous?" Lisa said in a smirk.

"In your fucking dreams" Jennie groaned.

"Pissed kitten" Lisa laughed.

"Fuck off dude" Jennie chuckled.

"What time are you going home?" Lisa asked.

"Why? You want me to go home now?" Jennie replied.

"No, it will be me who sends you home," Lisa chuckled.

"Tsk tsk" Jennie replied.

They keep talking till it is 5 p.m. Jennie refuses to go home yet, but Lisa insists since it is late and she has to rest because they have work tomorrow.

"Jennie you have to go home now you shit" Lisa said.

"You dare to call me a shit" Jennie said, angrily.

"Yah it was only a joke" Lisa replied.

"Fine, I'll go home," Jennie said as she stood up and left the house.

"Fuck, she's mad" Lisa groaned.

"It was entertaining to see you two argue, but didn't you notice that she wanted to spend more time with you?" Chaeyoung said suddenly.

"Gosh, you really startled me. I know, but she has to return home since I have a 'job' to do. " Lisa replied.

"When will you stop doing that dirty work" Chaeyoung asked.

"When I die" Lisa chuckled.

"Seriously, Lisa. You can't keep doing that work" Chaeyoung said, angrily.

"I understand, Chaeyoung.Please give me more time to think about it," Lisa replied seriously.

"Just live a good life, Lisa. I will be taking my leave" Chaeyoung replied then left.

"I really want to live a decent life, Chaeyoung. It's just my family's tradition," Lisa said, frustrated.
