As the food was brought into the dining hall, Volveth and Jaxon entered the room. Volveth had the widest grin and his eyes were blindingly bright. Jaxon walked in with a small smile.

Volveth suddenly frowned when he realized he wasn't seated next to Jaxon. The minotaur frowned down at the plate of food in his seat.

Currently at the head of the table was Aegon, with Caroline and Zekaj seated next to them. Hunter was by Zekaj and Zekai was by his mom. Volveth was seated by Zekai and Jaxon was by Hunter.

The Minotaur didn't sit down for a couple seconds until Zekai sighed, stood up, pushed the demon into his seat and walked around the table with his plate of food. Jaxon took the hint and switched seats with Zekai, making the sad Minotaur bright and cheery again.

Zekai grumbled idiots at the two and took a bite out of his food, never looking up from the plate.

"Thank you!" Volveth smiled and happily ate his food.

The whole time Volveth explained what the food was to Jaxon as they both ate. Zekaj made fun of them through the mindlink, calling Volveth a simp and other things his mind came up with.

Hunter decided not to mention how similar Zekaj acted when Hunter first came to hell.

As lunch came to an end and Volveth stopped rambling about something Hunter didn't understand (and neither did Jaxon) Caroline suddenly spoke up.

"So Jaxon now that you're here, I have some questions I was hoping to ask. Do you mind?" Caroline asked, sitting up straight.

"Uhm, sure alright," Jaxon was confused but didn't want to say no. Volveth leaned over to see what was happening even though he could partially see over Jaxon's head.

"Well, we have been thinking. It's not possible for Hunter to have these demonic runes because he's human." Caroline justered to Hunter who sat awkwardly in his chair, realizing what was about to be asked.

"But he has them, and well, We were wanting to know if it's possible at all for Hunter to not be human?"

"Not be human?" Jaxon's eyes went wide. "He's my son, there's no way he isn't human."

"We were just hoping you would maybe be willing to do some blood tests alongside Hunter? Just so we can get to the bottom of this." Caroline suggested.

"Why? Hunter's is my kid. I literally watched him come out of Olivia! There's no way he isn't human!" Jaxon stood up defensively.

"I'm not saying he isn't your kid, just something strange is happening here," Caroline stood up trying to deescalate the situation. "Hunter and Zekaj's situation is currently impossible to our knowledge. This could give us some much needed answers to keep our children safe."

"If it keeps Hunter safe... Then I'll do it," Jaxon said.

Hunter's eyes went wide at his father's sudden agreement. Even after the events of the past couple weeks Hunter still wasn't used to his father's caring nature.

"I'll do it too!" Volveth smiled from behind.

"Volveth nobody asked," Zekaj said from across the table, his arms crossed.

Hunter nudged Zekaj for being rude and Caroline chose to ignore her son.

"That'd be very helpful, Volveth, thank you. We can check you, Jaxon, Hunter and Zekaj's blood. Your's and Zekaj's to show the difference between Royal and Common demons and Jaxon and Hunter just to see if there's anything unusual going on." Caroline decided.

"I have a question," Zekaj asked from the other side of the table.

"Yes son?"

"Yeah, when the fuck did I agree to this?" Zekaj frowned.
