Lizzy woke up her eyes landing on the empty bed beside her "Dib didn't come to bed" she thought.
After getting dressed and ready for the day Lizzy woke up Ash who had fallen asleep book in hand. "Mommy?" He questioned "Where's daddy?" Having usually been woken up by his father Ash found it strange to see his mother.
"Your Daddy had a rough night, so you get to spend this Saturday with me."
Ash jumped up from his covers "Yay!" He cheered. Lizzy chuckled at her sons enthusiasm "Ok let's get you dressed so you can help mommy with work."

After he was all ready Ash grabbed his book. "Mommy, mommy! Can I bring my book with me?" He asked holding it up to give her a clear view of it. "Of course, how about you find a couple fun things to do why we are there ok?" Ash's eyes sparkled as he ran off.
Lizzy sat and thought to herself for a while "I hope that having someone a little closer to Zim's age will help him calm down and hopefully talk with me, and if anything, I know Ash at least will be excited about making a new friend." Lizzy then went downstairs to get some breakfast spotting Dib asleep on the couch.
Lizzy felt her heart tug "Poor Dib" she thought "It's affected him really bad this year, I haven seen him cry that hard in a long time, in fact it was probably much before Ash was born." Lizzy pulled out a box of cereal as Ash bounded down the stairs carrying a bag full of his favorite books and games. "I just wish Dib would let me help" was the last thing she thought of it as she sat down to eat with Ash. Ash gave a glance at his father on the couch, a momentary look of something between worry and fear flicked across his face before it was just as quickly replaced by a childish smile as he happily enjoyed his breakfast.

Lizzy walked into the station hand in hand with Ash as they approached the counter. "Any updates?" As if already knowing what she was going to ask the young boy who was there handed her the clip board from last night with her little to no notes. "Officer Staliz should will be here soon to help you out with any other notes you need. And for last night report." He shuffled throgh a couple of papers "There where no calls made in, and as far as the kid goes himself, it seems he just curled up in the corner and hasn't moved an inch. I'd assume he fell asleep." Looking back at Lizzy the young male officer noticed Ash, "Hm, did you bring your kid in?" Lizzy turned to Ash with a smile "Oh yea, this is Ash, I couldn't find a sitter in time so he's gonna help me with work today."
Ash turned to the guy and gave him a bright smile "Hi!" Ash beamed.
"Well he looks like a great helper" the officer said, more to Ash then Lizzy. "In fact he might be just what we need."
Lizzy nodded in agreement. "Yup" Ash grinned "That's wonderful to hear. you both can head back and see him now, I'm sure he'd love the company."
Lizzy thanked him and turned to Ash "Come on let's go." The young officer smiled as they left, "wow, he's such a cute kid" the officer thought, "He looks alot like his father"
Lizzy stoped in front of Zim's door and gave a slight knock, remembering how much Zim had jumped before when she came in last time."Hey, I'm back hoe have you been?" Lizzy asked as she opened the door before going cold in her place, the blood draining from her face as she took in the horrific scene.

Frantic feral eyes seemed to lock onto hers as she stood frozen in the doorway. Blood stained the walls and bed as a terrified Zim sat in the center of it all. One of his gloves had been removed and his sleeves pulled up to reveal deep bite marks in his arm fresh blood driping from his wounds staining everything it touched. His mouth and other hand where splattered in both old and new blood, similarly to the walls and bed.
Ash let out a whimper "Mommy..." He stammered just as, or maybe even more terrified than she was. Lizzy turned to Ash and ushered him off "Ash go have someone bring me some bandages" with a quick nod Ash ran off to get help.
Lizzy worriedly turned back to Zim her voice trying to be as calm as she could get it. "Hey Zim, look at me, you're going to be ok" She reassured him "Zim I want you to calm down and breathe." Lizzy began to slowly walk towards Zim keeping her voice calm and steady, the words she spoke the opposite of what she thought.

"Everything is going to be ok, just relax"
"How did no one notice this?"

"I'm here to help"
"Wasn't anyone watching him?"

"That's right just focus on me, you're going to be ok"
"Why didn't someone come on and check on him!"

Zim had heard them knock on the door his body froze as an instant response, he was in a weakened state, his right arm was heavily damaged, and his eyes a sort of foggy sore from the contacts. Zim's instincts told him to lift up his anteni and feel the room to hear and smell and feel, but the heavy wig kept them pressed down giving him the feeling of being much more suffocatingly trapped then he really was.

The Dib's mate had entered the room, someone else had been here with her a second ago, but Zim hadn't noticed who or where they went.
She crept forward her voice low in an attempt to be calming, but it had no effect on Zim, he could tell that there was anger boiling behind them, just beneath the surface.
A sharp voice broke Zim's still and frozen fear, his body leaping into action as he stood smearing blood further across the walls. Zim felt his pack mind slip as his true mind took control, there was no more safety, there was no more escape, "There Is Nowhere Left For Zim To Run."
