Dib pulled back from Zim, a sharp grimace on his face as he stuck his tongue out. "Why does it taste like you where eating metal...." Dib's sentence cut off as he looked at Zim who now held a both confused and upset look on his face.
Dib took in a hiss of breath "Right.." he said before his face became slightly more concerned "Zim you're covered in blood and seriously need a wash." Zim only glared at Dib, annoyed with him for ruining the mood. "So are you genius," he remarked while gesturing around "The whole room is."
Dib looked around in shock at how his mind managed to completely ignore the fact that their sweet reunion was going on in what looked like a complete murder scene. "How did I manage to forget that" Dib muttered. Zim's eyes fell flat a bored gaze falling on Dib "Don't ask me, it's not my fault you're stupid" Zim stated rather bluntly.
Dib narrowed his eyes and lifted his eyebrows, "Remind me why I missed you again" Dib asked his voice unamused. Zim grinned a boastful smile across his lips "It's because your pathetic little human life simply could not fathom living without the Almighty Zim of course."
Dib smirked his head tilting slightly as he looked at the prideful alien standing in front of him. With a sigh he nodded "I suppose I can't really argue with that logic can I." Dib admitted before kissing Zim softly on the forehead, for he truly could not deny that he was completely smitten with the alien.
"Now how about we get you out of here?" Dib suggested as the almighty irken stood flustered in front of him.Lizzy paced around the room nervously as her husband was gone. Ash had gone back to calmly reading a book, and officer Staliz did his best to reassure her. "You should come sit down" he offered. "Pacing around the room isn't going to do you much help."
Lizzy stood still "I know, but I just can't help but be unnerved about all this. Dib has just been acting so off lately, and then suddenly he reveals he knows Zim." Lizzy folded her arms in an attempt to calm herself down "I'm just worried, because what if it turns out he was talking about someone else? And what If he gets hurt?"
Staliz tried to give her his best reassuring smile "Hey I don't think you should worry about it, your husband will be fine. And I mean as far as Zim goes he seems like a pretty good kid, just freaked out is all.""Then clearly you've never actually met Zim." A voice echoed behind them, They both turned to the sound of Dib's voice as he finally walked out of the hallway.
Lizzy let out a sharp gasp as she beheld what was in front of her. Dib stood at the entrance of the hallway his face, pants, shirt, and jacket covered in, soaked, and splattered with blood. In his arms he held the small Zim who seemed not to happy with being carried bridal style down the hall. Zim's injured arm was hanging to the side the blood slowly running down his fingers and driping onto the floor.
Lizzy rushed forward "Oh My goodness Dib I was so worried, are you ok? You're covered in blood!" She practically panniced.
Dib smiled and gave a kind reassuring nod "Yea, don't worry sweetheart, it looks alot worse than it actually is." Zim rolled his eyes and looked away from the couple growling under his breath "You're face is making me gag."
"What was that Zim?" Dib asked catching the aliens snarky response. Zim sighed and looked up at Dib, a clearly drained look in his eyes. "You have a beautiful face Dib-Worm, can I go to sleep now?" He remarked not even trying to sound genuine.
With a sigh Dib looked at Zim "What did I say you had to do first?" Zim pointed up at Dib an annoyed glare on his face "Zim already apologized to you didn't I?" Dib nodded "And it wasn't that hard was it?" Zim held a look on his face that held utter betrayal.
"Apologize to everyone else" Dib commanded. Zim snarled "Why should Zim have to Apologize!"
Dib glanced down at the furious alien then up to his confused wife, with a look that could only be described as his last straw of patience, Dib muttered "I'll drop you."Zim tensed as he looked straight up at the beast that was holding him. His mind seemed to desperately calculate whether the Dib was speaking truth or not. But due to the lack of emotion he put behind the remark Zim was having a hard time doing so. Zim let out a forced laugh before his pitch flattened in a voice of sincere fear "Please Dont" was all he could mutter, considering he wouldn't put it past the Dib to not follow though with his words.
"Are you going to apologize properly then?" Dib asked in a commanding kind of way "Yesss" Zim pleaded through clenched teeth and a forced smile. "Well go on then" Dib urged, Setting Zim on the floor and pushing him closer to the several officers who had been standing there and watching their bickering conversation in silence.Finding himself in a spotlight Zim stared down at the floor and fiddles his fingers. "Zim is sorry for scaring everyone, and hurting the officers, and ruining the room, and breaking the camera." Turning back on his heels Zim tugged on Dib's coat practically demanding to be picked back up and dissaper from the horrible spotlight he had been placed upon.
Officer Staliz gave a soft smile as he glanced over to Zim, still tugging on Dib's coat. "Well I can't speak for everyone, but I forgive you." Lizzy quickly nodded and gave a stuttered response "Y-yea me too." She said before glancing down at Zim a slightly skeptical look in her eyes, only to be met by an equally just as guarded gaze from him.Satisfied with Zim's apology Dib glanced down at the irken who was still persistently tugging on his trench coat, effectively staining it further with each tug. "See Zim it wasn't all that hard now was it?" He smirked as Zim's eyes glared up to meet his. "I hate you" Zim growled. Refusing to acknowledge Zims rude behavior Dib simply looked back up and nodded "Good to know" he stated bluntly. With a defeated sigh Zim pressed his head to Dib's side and looked down at the floor "Fine, Zim likes the Dib-beast, just pick Zim up already."
With a wide grin Dib scoped Zim back up into his arms earning a furious chirp from Zim as he was grabbed. Dib payed him no mind and just gave a satisfactory grin at having clearly won their battle. "See Zim, it's not that hard to be polite" Dib purred at the angry little alien in his arms. Zim just hissed at him and glared off to the side refusing to acknowledge the chirpy happy Dib.
Finding the pestering of Zim no longer working Dib turned to Lizzy a much different look in his eyes than the playfull one he held for Zim. "Hey Lizzy?" He asked softly.
Lizzy's gaze was shook as she stared at him, "He usually calls me Sweetheart" she thought, a strange feeling crawling in her chest, fear? Anger? Jealousy? Lizzy could only stop in shock when he continued, as a deep rooted feeling told her something was wrong.
"Would there be a way that I could bring Zim home?"Dib chatered nervously, realizing how he probably sounded. "Listen I know this seems kinda wierd, but is there a way that we could take Zim home instead of you know, leaving him here or something?" Dib felt embarrassed begging his wife like a little kid asking to take home a stray puppy, but he knew he couldn't just leave Zim here. Lizzy rubed one of her arms hervously as she held them crossed over her chest "I don't know Dib. This isn't that simple, if anything I'd think we should get in contact with his parents, or legal guardians"
Dib looked down at the ground feeling defeated as he slightly shifted the position of Zim in his arms, wishing somehow he could hold him closer. Dib bit his lip thinking of what to do."Zim doesn't have any parents." Lizzy's gaze shifted down to Zim as he adjusted himself in Dib's arms his voice holding no remorse for the words he spoke. "At least not anymore." He sighed as if the conversation bored him. Lizzy widened her eyes feeling bad for him despite the nagging discomfort in her chest. "Oh, I'm sorry I hadn't realized. Who do you stay with then?"
Zim crossed his arms and growled "No one. Zim takes care of himself." Lizzy looked away then looked at Dib who seemed just as equally uncomfortable as her.
"I'll go see what I can do." she said before turning away
"Thanks." She heard Dib's voice echo behind her, him seeming to be so much further away from her then he was.
