Aryanna ran along, able to follow Rayne’s and Kalya’s tracks. Once she reached them she whistled. Kalya turned around and ran to meet Aryanna half way.
“How is James?” Kalya asked immediately.
Aryanna let her face fall and she looked at Kalya solemnly. Kalya’s eyes widened and her face went sad, her mouth opened in a small o.
“James is almost better, he remembers us,” she said.
Kalya had to let the words sink in before she shrieked and hugged Aryanna energetically. “When can I see him?” she asked.
“That is why I caught up to you, us three are going to wait for Sheridan and James to catch up, that way we can travel together again,” Aryanna said with a grin.
Rayne smiled and hugged Aryanna. “I’m so glad he pulled through,” she said.
Aryanna’s smiled widened and she nodded. “I am also,” she said.
“How far away are they?” Kalya asked, jumping up and down around Aryanna.
“Half an hour to forty five minutes maybe,” Aryanna told her.
“And then, and then, and then I can see James!” Kalya shouted running ahead and doing cartwheels.
Rayne and Aryanna laughed as she watched.
While they waited Rayne and Aryanna sat down, talking in low voices.
