Chapter 11The two began circling each other around the platform. Weapons in hand, ready to rush at each other at any second. Ludovicus was waiting for an attack, while Faron was too. Smoke appeared as Ludovicus enchanted his sword. Slowly spreading the fire on his blade with the spell. His mana levels were extremely low until this point.
Faron didn't even bat an eye when he saw the pyromancy spell taking place. Instead of waiting, he rushed at Ludovicus with his great axe, startling him, and so, Ludovicus rolled out of the way, causing the spell to malfunction and resetting the blade to its original phase. Faron swung at the glass, causing more to break, the pieces on the floor in various shapes and sizes. The fire gem in Ludo's sword grew bright red, its light shining at the ceiling.
Suddenly, the two ran at the other. Faron rushed at Ludo, trying to get a hit on the head, however, Ludo jerked his body to the right side of the platform, then landed a devastating blow by half swording onto Faron's head, denting the helm.
"EUGH" The bounty hunter groaned in pain. The small horns on his helm dived deep inside, making a crater where the pommel hit. The spots where the horns were hit Faron's head underneath, making him extremely dizzy. Ludo took this as a chance to strike, and tried landing another hit by half swording, however, Faron lunged at Ludo, dropping his weapon in the process.
What happened next could only be described as pure hatred. All sense of direction was muddled with thoughts of destruction in Faron. He began to punch Ludo, repeatedly on the face, until his knuckles inside his gauntlets were bleeding. Looks like he took more damage than me Ludo thought, then shoving Faron aside, and grabbing his blade. Faron, seeing this, took his axe, and threw it at Ludo with extreme precision and speed.
The blade slid right through the two edges of plate armor that Ludo had on his back, and pierced his back.
The pain was unreal. Ludo's spine was undoubtedly shattered. There was no chance now. However...
Sully from outside, saw Ludo on the floor, with an axe sticking to his back. Sully rummaged through his bag, and found the health flask and the mana orb. Then, he threw both through the hole that Faron had caused before with his attack. Ludo caught the health flask in time, and poured the thing on his helmet. The elixir slipped through the holes of his armet which were meant for breathing and sight, and dripped to his tongue. Suddenly, he felt the pain on his back going away. The axe was gone from his back. It felt as if his entire body was performing at hundreds of times faster than normal, instantly producing more blood, the cut skin on his back regrowing extremely quick.
Faron caught sight, and so grabbed his axe, and rushed at Ludo. Ludo, now prepared, snatched his blade from the ground and used the mid section of the blade to block the blow that Faron dealt, which otherwise would have killed him. Faron grew restless. He aimed another attack at Ludo's head, however, by that time, he was long gone.
Faron felt his skull breaking apart, literally deconstructing. A pool of blood filling the floor. His mind went berserk, his brain not being able to process the pain that he was feeling. His skull bashed in, Ludo's pommel breaking from his own attack. The fire gem popped out of the pommel from it exploding, and landing on the floor beside Ludo.
Faron felt his life leaving him. Closer to death with every passing second. Suddenly, at the edge of his eye, he spotted the mana orb. Faron's face brightened up, and he suddenly snatched the orb, which broke free from its bottle from the impact of Sullivan's throw. Using the very last of his strength, he pulled in into him, the light shining.
Ludo, staring in shock as he saw what had happened. It can't possibly work now, he's almost dead! Ludo thought in terror.
The white light shined bright as the substance entered Faron's body. At that point, Faron was already dead. Him thrusting the substance in him was the last thing he did before he died. The white light glowing at almost every possible part of Faron's dead body.
