Y/N woke up early today, the pain on his fingers being the first thing to feel so early in the morning. He had accidentally put pressure on it during the night and that was bad, because there was a chance his bones could heal wrong. He mentally cussed at his own foolishness as he slid the wooden door to his room open, being greeted by a familiar empty hall. He wasn't supposed to train normally today, so he went to look for Shinobu to ask her what he was supposed to do for the day. She mentioned she would have a pillar his age train him or something- it was kind of exciting actually.

"Ara, you're up early Y/N-kun! Were you looking for something?" The familiar voice of the Insect hashira rang through his ears, coming from behind him. If he weren't used to her sneaking up on him all the time, he would've been creeped the hell out, but it happened so often at that point, that it fazed him not. "Yeah, I was looking for you actually." He said, turning his head towards the short girl before continuing. "You said you'd have someone else train me today since I can't do my regular training, so I was going to ask if they agreed or when I will be meeting them to start the training." The younger concluded, using his good hand to scratch his nape lightly. "Ah! Right. Tokito-kun should be here any moment now, I informed him via crow to come to the butterfly estate." She replied with her regular smile, as the sound of the front door to the butterfly estate swinging open was heard. "Speaking of the devil!" She said before grabbing a hold of Y/N's wrist to drag him to the entrance. His eyes fell upon a boy with long black- fading to teal- hair, with doe and dull teal eyes. His features were soft and somewhat feminine, so if someone didn't pay enough attention, his small frame could be mistaken for that of a girl. Nonetheless, Y/N thought he was quite pretty, though he would never admit that out loud.

"Hello, Tokito-kun! Thank you for coming. I know didn't quite tell you why I wanted you here, but come with me so I can explain." Shinobu said with her usual cheerfulness, urging for the boy before her to follow her. He complied, still bearing his bored expression. All 3 went inside an empty room, both boys sat on an empty bed, opposite from eachother, both looking at the older girl closing the door behind her and taking a seat next to Y/N. "So, I asked you to come here so you could help L/N-kun over here train despite his injuries. I'm basically asking for you to train his reflexes and speed, since he can't start using a sword yet. He broke his fingers yesterday when Sanemi-san asked to fight him, but he wanted to at least do some training while his hand heals so he doesn't fall back." She said, her expression serious as she was hoping the younger would accept the offer to train his peer. "And why would I do that? He really doesn't look like much, how do I know I'm not wasting my time here, training someone who looks so useless?" The emotionless-seeming boy said in a monotone voice, insulting Y/N in his face. The (h/c)ette wanted to snap at him, but he knew he had to keep quiet. "Because he is more than what he may seem. I promise he has a lot of potential and I do think you could both learn from eachother!" Shinobu said sweetly, patting the shoulder of the boy next to her. "Hm. Fine, but if I decide that he doesn't have any potential, I'm bringing him back here. I'm not about to waste my time when I could be killing demons instead." He got up right after he finished his speech, not giving any of the two a chance to reply as he grabbed a hold of Y/N's arm, dragging him outside the room and the butterfly estate.

The way to the Mist estate wasn't very long and all that was said between the two boys was a short introduction and Muichiro explaining that he is the Mist hashira. Y/N knew he was supposed to respect the younger, but he found it incredibly difficult to hold back the urge to insult him. His attitude pissed the (h/c)ette off, he just couldn't help but already dislike the young pillar. As soon as they arrived, Tokito explained how Y/N would be living with him until his hand heals, and during that time he would have to undergo harsh training to gain speed. The older wasn't very opposed to that, after all that was the point of him being here and tolerating the sassy ravenette, whom he so badly wanted to punch square in the face, but refrained from doing. "Get situated and meet me outside. We will begin training once you're done." The teal-eyed boy said after he showed Y/N the room he would be staying in. He left right after he received a nod from his guest and went outside. The (e/c)-eyed boy sighed, setting his clothes on his bed. He took a mental note to clean the room as it was pretty dusty- same with the rest of the surfaces of the estate.
