The next few weeks went by like they were nothing. Sure, Y/N was still feeling shitty about what they had done days ago, but their mind would often get distracted with the need to win in training against his friends. He had been improving rapidly, he would get better on the daily. He speed was finally fully restored and his body didn't hurt so much after being stretched to and past its limits so many times by Mitsuri. He also did a few days of strength training, but that was all he basically needed- it was mainly his agility and flexibility that were affected by the injury, as well as his strength on the leg that he couldn't move, but it all got fixed beautifully. Well, that was only his physical state though, because mentally, he was pretty much suffering. Muichiro had been very distant and cold to Y/N since that day the (h/c)ette lashed out at him. In reality, the younger boy was sort of protecting himself and his feelings, because that outburst really did hurt him, much as he didn't project it, so he kept his distance. That really tormented Y/N's brain- he would sometimes even think of it during training, since he had to train with the help of the Mist pillar. All in all, neither of then felt great. Especially since Muichiro couldn't seem to forget about the incident. Unlike most of his memories that were foggy or nonexistent, anything about Y/N was etched to his brain. He always lied when he said he would forget later, when Y/N would open up to him- he never did forget. He didn't want to remember and if they older boy knew, they would never have those conversations again. Not like they could at the moment, with how Muichiro avoided him, but it was still a valid concern.

"Well! You're fully recovered now, N/N-chan!" Shinobu said, giving the younger boy a warm hug. Y/N smiled softly, knowing what was waiting for him now. "I have let Oyakata-sama know of your recovery and he will probably request to see you soon." The short girl explained, removing her arms from around him. As if on que, Y/N's crow, Raven, flew into the room and landed on top of his owner's head. "Oyakata-sama wishes to see you. Please visit the Ubuyashiki estate, Y/N-sama." The crow said calmly, then flew out the window again. "I'm never gonna get used go your crow being so chill.." Giyuu said from the corner, Mitsuri nodded in agreement. "Well, I'll get changed and take my leave. Thank you guys for your help, I'm so grateful for your training!" Y/N said happily and ran into a room to change into his uniform. He also strapped his swords on his belt and obviously wore his special shoes. He waved his friends a last goodbye and started running to the Ubuyashiki mansion. Upon arriving, some kakushi greeted him, then showed him the way around to Amane, who then took him to the room Kagaya was in. After saying his thanks to the wife of the leader of the Corps, he entered the usual, small room Oyakata was in. "Hello, my child. Please sit, I'm happy to know that you have healed well." Kagaya said, as he watched Y/N take a sit in front of him. "Thank you, Oyakata-sama. I'm also happy to see you are doing well. I wish health and great fortune upon you and your family." Y/N said, bowing his head politely. "Thank you. Now, I'm assuming you know why you're here?" The leader asked, a gentle smile present on his face. "I think so." The (h/c)ette confirmed, maintaining a calm expression, even if on the inside he wanted to scream and squeal from happiness. "Well then, what is your answer?" Kagaya asked, waiting for an answer patiently. "I accept." The younger male said, voice confident. "Great. We have a meeting in 3 days, I'll take this as a chance to introduce you to the others. Please be there." The ravenette informed, dismissing the latter. "Hai. Thank you." Y/N said as he got up. He bowed a perfect 90 degrees and left the room. After he was lead outside by some kakushi that he thanked for the help, he immediately ran back to the Butterfly estate, where the others were waiting.

"GUYYSSSSSSSS!!!" Y/N said, his voice this loud for the first ever. The 4 pillars, along with some workers that looked very pissed from the yelling, emerged from the building and got out to the garden. "I DID IT!" The (h/c)ette said as he ran up to his friends, enveloping all of them in a tight hug. "I don't really understand why you're so happy over having a higher chance to die now, but good job anyway." Muichiro said returning the hug. He may have seemed disinterested, but in reality he was very happy that his friend and former student was a Hashira now, like him. It meant they were more likely to be partnered together in missions- he also wanted to see Y/N in action. "That's not true, you have an equal chance of dying as a Hashira as you did if when you weren't a slayer." Giyuu resonated, which make Y/N giggle. "He's right, much as I hate to agree with Tomioka-san." Shinobu said, nodding. "KYAAA!! I'm so happy for you Y/N-kun!!" Mitsuri said, wrapping her arms back around Y/N, very much squeezing the life out of the poor boy. "Th-thank you Tsuri-chan, but please don't kill me before the pillar meeting!!" The boy said, sweat dropping as he pat the Love Hashira's back. The pinkette let go immediately, apologising. "Don't worry about it." The (h/c)ette comforted, another voice attracting his attention. "Good job, brat." He felt a small hand pat his head, but as he turned around he was met with the face of the Serpent pillar. "Ehhh? Thank you, but didn't you say I don't deserve it?" Y/N said, a smug and teasing smirk on his lips. "Don't make me break your bones when you just recovered." The ravenette said sternly, making everyone else sweat-drop and Y/N intimidated. "R-right, sorry." The younger said, laughing nervously. "I'll make something for us to eat in celebration, how does that sound? It seems like none of us have a mission right now, I mean." Shinobu suggested, pointing to the estate with her thumb. "Oh, no, I do have to go on a mission. I just stopped by to congratulate the brat." Obanai informed, everyone else nodded in understanding. "How nice of you, Iguro-san!" Mitsuri exclaimed, enveloping the short male in a tight hug. "I say we leave them here and go eat." Muichiro whispered to his friends, tugging on Shinobu's sleeve to bring her inside. Y/N nodded, grabbing Giyuu and dragging him inside as well. Mitsuri didn't seem to notice for a while and just smothered the poor ravenette with all her love and appreciation, leaving him flustered and dumbfounded.

"Alright, what's everyone's favourite food? I'll make it." Shinobu suggested, as she had a bunch if ingredients. "(f/f)" Y/N was the first to answer, sitting on one of the empty kitchen counters, as the kitchen of the Butterfly estate was very big. "Syake-Daikon." Giyuu said, the ghost of a smile appearing on his face as he thought of his favourite. "Furofuki Daikon." Muichiro replied as he sat on he floor. "That's really.." Y/N went to say something on that, but he dismissed his thought. "Hm?" The Mist pillar directed his attention to the new Hashira. "Don't worry about it." The (h/c)ette said, giving the younger boy a soft smile. "Should I ask Tsuri-chan what hers is?" Y/N offered, but Shinobu just waved her hands in disagreement. "No, I already know hers." The Insect Hashira said with a her usual smile as she started to cook all the dishes her friends and herself liked. After a while, Mitsuri entered the kitchen and sat next to Y/N. "Why did you guys leave meeee!" She said, clinging to the younger boy beside her. "You were too busy being lovey-dovey with the snake boy, so we decided to leave you be for a while." Muichiro butted in and the (h/c)ette simply nodded as both of them shrugged. "You two are so alike, yet so different." The Water pillar commented, taking notice of how the two boys had similar mannerisms. The two only shrugged again. "Ah, I remember the first time I visited Y/N when he started training at the Mist estate!" Shinobu started, making the boy in question's eyes widen. "I remember how he literally clutched to my haori and had this traumatised expression while he said "Me and the Mist dude arent getting along at all" his expression literally screamed 'please help' it was so funny." She proceeded to giggle. The little story made Mitsuri laugh while Giyuu seemed amused. "Wow, you really said that?" Muichiro said, pretending to be hurt, even if his expression didn't change one bit. The older only rolled his eyes and looked away in embarrassment. "Oh he also said that he wants to punch you really bad." The violet-eyed girl added, still focused on cooking. "I could now, if I wanted to." Y/N said, still avoiding to look at Muichiro. "Nope, I'm still better." The younger said, as he laid down on the floor. "Fuck off, mist boy." The (h/c)ette retorted, getting irritated by the cockiness of his peer.

After a while of Muichiro and Y/N arguing back and forth, the food was finally ready. Shinobu set the dishes down on the large table as everyone took a seat. The first thing that everyone noticed was Giyuu's blinding smile the moment he saw his syake-Daikon. Everyone except Y/N- who was fanboying over his aniki smirking- looked absolutely petrified, but they managed to get over the shock fairly quick. Mitsuri also seemed excited, as she had recieved two large plates with stacked sakura mochi. Y/N looked very happy to be able to eat (f/f) after so long of not tasting it and Muichiro and Shinobu looked pleased to eat their own favourite dishes. They ate in peace and mainly silence, other than the small talk they would make with eachother, or praise Shinobu for her cooking skills; she was pretty good at cooking. When they were finally done, they all got up and they were about to leave, until Y/N remembered he doesn't have his own estate, but he didn't want to coop up in the Butterfly estate either. "Um, guys? I just remembered that the Cloud estate isn't a thing yet..-" His speech was cut off by the Mist pillar grabbing onto his arm. "You don't need it, that's why. Let's go." Muichiro said and dragged Y/N away fast. Everyone was dumbfoundedly staring as Y/N waved goodbye and turned to run next to the younger boy. "Oh, wow." Shinobu commented as soon as the two were out of view. "I support it!" Mitsuri cheered, balling her hands into fists and putting each next to her cheeks. "As long as they're happy." Giyuu agreed, nodding at his own statement. The three older pillars parted ways, each going back to their respective estates. They would see eachother in 3 days anyway, with the pillar meeting. They were all pretty excited for it now that Y/N would be introduced to the others as well.

A/N: yay we're soon getting to the canon parts of the book I'm very excited !
