"Say, Y/N, why don't you try learning Mist Breathing when your hand heals?" Shinobu suddenly said, after she had called over the boy to come where she and the other pillar sat at. He blinked once, then once more. He opened his mouth to say something, but nothing came out. "Eh?" An awkward confused noise managed to escape him. Not only was that a shock, but also,, with what kind of logic were they to assume he wanted to train under the younger airheaded boy? His expression was a mix of blank, shocked and confused. Muichiro was looking at him as though he were stupid, but he could care less at that moment. "Shinobu said you're having a hard time finding someone to teach you a breathing technique. Since you're already here, it would save you the trouble of looking around when you can start from mine." The mint-eyed boy explained. Well, that made a lot more sense. "Oh. Sure, I guess." He shrugged, not thinking much of the offer from that point and on. "That's great, I'm sure Y/N will make a great tsuguko for you, Tokito-kun! I'll leave you two to train now. I'll visit again soon to check up on Y/N-kun's hand." And as she said that, she disappeared into thin air. "Alright, let's go back to training." The ravenette said, dragging the older boy along, who was mumbling curses under his breath.
About 2 hours into the training, Y/N suddenly blocked a sword hit with his foot. "Stop with those, I know you're doing it on purpose because you hate me and shit, but I really dont need extra bruises. So start taking seriously and stop being so damn pretty." He said with an annoyed expression, referring to the hits he wasn't able to dodge. The sapphire only rolled his eyes and continued, now avoiding hitting the older in a way he wasn't able to dodge. Y/N could admit he was quite bold to talk to a pillar like that, but he was pretty fed up with the treatment he was receiving from the younger. That little scolding made the training go by way smoother anyway, even if the (h/c)ette would still get hit and jabbed every once in a while. He was improving fast, even Muichiro could acknowledge that. The real reason he asked for Y/N to be his tsuguko was because he did see potential. Even when he said he didn't, he was just trying to push the older boy over the edge. He could tell how short-tempered the e/c boy really was, so he wanted to see what he was capable of and yet, when they fought, he still held back. How interesting. The lack of a reason to become a demon slayer in combination of the unnatural talent in fighting the older boy possessed reminded Muichiro a lot of the things he'd heard about himself. It didn't look like the (h/c)ette would be compatible with the Mist Breathing breath style, but he secretly did hope that Y/N would make his own breathing style so they could be hashira together. He deemed his peer to be worthy of a high ranking, even if he weren't a demon slayer yet. It looked like he could grow to become very powerful.
"Alright, I think we are done for today." The ravenette spoke up suddenly, withdrawing his practice sword. The e/c boy looked at him in confusion, since it was still quite early in the day. "I'm tired. If you want, you can go run around the estate till sundown or something, but I'm going to eat and lay down." The young pillar then walked away, leaving Y/N upset that he couldn't train more. He would have to run around for the rest of the day, he guessed. It was true that the pillar had not been getting much sleep the two days he was staying with him- probably from before he came into his estate too. Never bothered asking why, but now his tiredness was more apparent to the older boy as well. He ended up spending a good two hours running around as fast as he could, like he had been told over the course of the time he was in the Mist estate- it helped him boost his stamina and start getting used to running long distances at fast speeds for the future. That training was definitely going to pay off in his demon-slaying career.
Well, he did the training at the cost of eating alone, though. The Mist pillar kept his word and was already fast asleep when Y/N entered the estate. He was sleeping on the floor actually, so the boy made a mental note to himself to carry the younger male to his room once he was done with his food. He washed his bowl and chopsticks, after he had downed the last bits of ramen in it and put the utensils away. Then, he turned to the sleeping form of Muichiro, still laying in the same position the (h/c)ette found him in. Carefully picking the younger up, Y/N made his way into his room, placing him down on his futon gently. The younger didn't seem to have woken up by that, so he just left and closed the door to the pillar's room quietly. He made his way to his own room and let himself rest, not before recapping his day in his head. His mind still lingered on the fact that the same boy who was petily stabbing him with a wooden sword because of a fight they had, was asking him to train under his wing. It was odd, he thought that no matter what, the young pillar would decline any offer to train him again, but it wasn't the case apparently. It made Y/N feel oddly content; maybe he could actually get along with the younger boy, per Shinobu's request.
