We left the House of Cortez not long after that night to the Sentience coven campsite. The Sentience coven was also located in De La Corazón so we didn't have to travel far and ended up arriving before our school.

There we stood, my friends, my dad, and I in front of a several-story mini-tower that had large tinted windows. The building was made of stone brick but wasn't as taken by nature as the Cortez manor.

"To my orders, I'm gonna go check-in for the school. Everyone will arrive soon, so find a spot for the class to set up," Dad instructed me before running off to the inside of the Coven.

I turned immediately to Wynter, "Do you know when Trevor and Mei will get here?"

Wynter shook his head. I sighed my head pondering all available possibilities to get what I need to be done. I grabbed my things and sat by the front of the hall in a small garden, the others followed quietly.

We were to sit and wait. Kendra polished her nails while Charlie and Wynter played a card game. Leaving me alone to my thoughts which I'm still immensely averse to.

It's hard to think and when my thoughts can't focus long enough on one thought before switching to another like it was nothing. If not then only focusing on everything I don't want to think about.

I sat on a bench and crossed my legs like a pretzel, my hands gently touching opposite tips just above my lap.

My brain chilled as the tension my heart came loose. Each breath, taking in more in more oxygen, slowing my heart to felt like a near stop.

The cooling sensations all a flutter in my lungs. The air around me synced with my breathing, the wind blowing with every exhale. It was peaceful then the synergizing became harder and harder to deal with.

I wasn't controlling the breathing but the breathing was controlling me. My mouth gapped as I gasped and choked on the air around me.

"Temmie? Are you alright?" Charlie asked shaking me but I kept gasping.

Soon the struggle for air stopped and the same dry choked-up feeling as before came once again. It tried to swallow it down but it only made it worse. As if it were spring, the more pressure I put on pushing it back the harder it came back up.

My spine arched and I lurched over before all the little petals tickled my throat, before launching out my mouth and to the ground to leave an acidic yet floral sting in the back of my throat. The petals sat there for a second before sizzling and fading away to reclaiming themselves to the wind in the form of mist.

The muscles in my body were paralyzed as I stared in horror and shame in throwing up flower petals. I couldn't bother to look up at the others.

"WHAT THE FUCK!" Kendra shouted in just as much horror.

"I don't think that's supposed to happen," Charlie muttered before placing down his winning poker hand.

"That seemed painful," Wynter agreed his tone a little softer than the others.

Completely frazzled I curled up into a big ball, "I hate this. I hate it so much," I muttered, "It's fine, that happens sometimes,"

"WHAT THE FUCK!" Kendra shouted again still in shock.

"MS. ORIA! I forbade the use of inappropriate language at this pristine land of culture and history!" Ms. Fisher screamed as a crowd of Monovore students gathered around us.

Ms. Fisher stopped and glared at us and when her eyes landed on me, I felt nothing but embarrassment and pulled my head back into my legs and prayed for her to ignore me. Then again, nice things don't happen to me.
