Our journey through the trials continued and things were starting to get intensely more dangerous.
Today wasn't monster fighting, so far, but walk a plank and avoid falling rocks and debris. It's not too hard but their so many of us on this one bridge that's it's a little difficult to navigate.
In wish I could make Vex form a portal but spirit projections aren't allowed in dungeons or temple. So we all to settle with struggling on our own, or everyone but Angelo who was so scare he's having Wynter carry him.
Sora and Charlie had the agility and speed to get across before everyone else and was playing a card game on the other side.
I don't know why but it was both a little funny and a little irritating but I guess their not a whole anyone could do.
Unfortunately I couldn't use a permeation spell with falling to my death in the void below us.
Kendra pulled up close behind me after dodging a falling anvil, "I meant to ask yesterday but what did you mean, when said that to Nalo,"
"Exactly as it is,"I shrugged off, "He's a part of the prophecy whether I like or not,"
"Doesn't he bother you?"
"Of course, but it's rare that I let my pride blind my judgement of someone,"
"Or lack of thereof," Kendra muttered as if we weren't practically hugging right now.
"You have no room to talk, you judge everyone,"
"I do not,"
"You so do,"
"No I don't!"
"Hey keep it moving some of us have quite the load," Our gazes shot back to Wynter who seemed very strained at the moment.
"I'll have you know, I'm not that heavy," Angelo huffed despite not being in a condition to complain.
"Says the one who's not doing an ounce of labor," Wynter mutter was low and filled with its own kind of disgust.
Angelo was around the same size as Wynter, maybe a little more rbones than muscle but still quite tall.
Eventually, one by one we made it. It seems that its not as challenging I everyone originally anticipated it to be.
"Congratulations, you guys have made it across! You all are a rare few who have managed to make it as far as this. With minor injuries no less," Kris floated about jumping from head to head.
"I'm very impressed by this process, you guys might even be able to make it and claim your positions as champions and take home your prize!"
Trevor, with his blank expression, looked toward Kris, "So what is this prize, and is it worth all this trouble?"
"I don't know, you'll have to tell me," She shrugged and with a complacence smile, she add, "I'll forget by the time you all leave anyways,"
"As a guardian, don't you remember this?"
"Sometimes, I've been a guardian for years but since this temple hasn't been taken care of for generations, I suspect I'll forget within what will feel like a moment in your lifetime," Kris explained her face relaxing although exhaustion rested at the bottom lids of her eyes.
I won't know where to start in reconstructing a temple but magic is flexible so I'm sure it's not impossible. Perhaps Lady Abigail might be able to help, that is if I ask nice enough, and apologize properly for my behavior.
"Now! Onwards and I'll explain the next Trial!" She said sitting back down onto Wynter's head.
We all shuffled along into the next room, it was filled with lush green jungle. Vibrant plants and flowers enticing us to enter.
