"Sun Summoner," called an old Shu man named Botkin, approaching the 2 girls. "All of Ravka's foes want to kill you before you destroy the fold. General Taylor, power is something lots of people would hunt you for. It's great honor to have so many enemies"
"A very warm greeting" Alina muttered under her breath
"He's always like this" informed Nadia
"You must learn to defend yourself fast, do any of you know how to fight?"
"I've had training" replied Bianca confidently
"Me too" replied Alina, hesitantly
"Show me, pick an opponent"
"Her," Alina pointed to Zoya, who slowly stepped forward with an arrogant smile
"Zoya Nazyalensky, I've been training her since she was 10"
"Care to back down?" she asks smugly
"Not familiar with the concept"
"Fighters ready... and FIGHT"
Alina headed for a punch, but Zoya lazily tilted her head to the side and tripped Alina. Gasps were heard from the crowd, Bianca was eyeing Zoya sharply.
"We go again" panted Alina after getting up immediately
"Fight"
Alina aimed to punch Zoya again multiple times, but she dodged every single one of them and flipped Alina by her arm harshly.
"Easy Zoya" warns Bortkin
Zoya walked away, and while she was, Alina quietly stood up and punched Zoya in the jaw, which made her drop to the floor. Everyone almost gasped, as Zoya was one of the top fighters in the second Army.
'Damn'
'Pop off I gues'
Bianca looked impressed, but she kept a skeptical eye on Zoya. Zoya's face reddened from anger, she positioned her hands, and drew air towards Alina. Alina, luckily, flew back and landed on a pack of hay, but she passed out shortly, earning gasps from everyone. Marie, and Nadia rushed towards her. Bianca held her hands together and increased Alina's heartbeat, jolting her awake.
"Alina! You okay?" asked Marie
"Please be okay" panted Nadia
"I can't believe she did that" whispered Marie as she and Nadia helped Alina up.
"She's just jealous, can't bear the idea of anyone being favored by 2 generals, especially General Kirigan."
"Don't know why she wastes her time pining over him"
"What were you thinking against the sun summoner!" Botkin snarled. "Have you lost your mind?! She's not the enemy more than I am! Go!"
"No, wait, I want to spar with her" interrupted Bianca loudly
"General, are you sure?"
"She's got spirit, let me try". Botkin and the whole crowd stared at her blankly, but that didn't block the fire in Bianca's eyes. Her shadows were ready to burst out.
"Fine, fighters ready?"
Bianca merely nods, keeping her eyes on Zoya
"Fight!"
Bianca didn't charge, instead, she waited for Zoya to make the first move. Zoya took the hint and sent a sloppy punch, then stumbled Bianca. Bianca leapt forward smoothly and grabbed Zoya's stretched arm and flipped her. When Zoya got up, some dirt was flying behind her, threatening to use her powers. She threw a strong punch towards Bianca's jaw, so strong that she barely dodged it. Bianca swept her right foot behind Zoya's feet, tripped her, and then she swept to the side.
