Bianca walked to the cave. The cave was dimly lit, the light getting dimmer and dimmer the farther she went in. She was looking around for any sign of a human. She would kill the Darkling without hesitation if he sent her to the wrong place.

'Ew who the hell would want to live here'

'B I sense shadows, they're just like the Darkling's'

'I sense a heartbeat too'

'So that Baghra woman is a shadow summoner?!'

'Apparently' they both replied

"Hello? Anybody there?"

"In here, girl" replied the voice of an old woman, Baghra. She had pitch black hair, and she looked so much younger than Bianca had expected.

"Let's have a look at you" she murmured, eying her up and down, stopping at her unique kefta.

"A corpsewitch? I'm quite surprised"

"You learn something new every day"

"Where are your parents?"

"They live near the Fjerdan border"

"Where did you grow up?"

"With my parents, near the Fjerdan border"

"You slipped through the cracks, hid your powers, and stayed where you didn't belong. I asked your sun summoner friend this question, where do you belong?"

"Wherever I feel like I'm at home"

"You don't belong here?"

"I do, but I don't at the same time"

"Where do you truly belong?"

"Wherever I feel like I'm at home" retorted Bianca

"Then what are you?!"

"A corpsewitch, a healer, and a heartrender. The lieutenant general of the second army"

"And can you call on your powers without the general clutching your wrist?"

"I've harnessed my power long before I've met him"

"Then show me"

Bianca slowed Baghra's heart to the point where she couldn't stand up, but not causing any damage. She then froze her body, and her tips were starting to turn into ash gray, she then released her in order to not cause any more damage

"H-how? Where did you learn to use your powers like that?"

"I didn't hide my powers. I found out about my powers before I was tested. I hid from testers and got trained by my parents"

"How did your parents train you when they aren't grisha?"

"My mother is Grisha, a healer. My father is a durast, but he was responsible for my combat training. They taught me as well as any grisha could learn in the little palace."

"It seems like your powers are already harnessed. Since you have the basic information any corporalki has, you have no business with me. Until then, girl" Her voice was filled with hatred when she said the Darkling's name. Looks like Bianca wasn't the only one who loathed him

"Until then, Baghra", Bianca was out in no time.

'Finally, I loathe that old woman'

'Well now Mr. Darkles will grace us with his present every day'

'You two are ridiculous, now let's go before Darkles figures out that you two can talk'

'You mean the boyfriend' they said together
