Part III - My Game

August 8

9:43 p.m. | Lana's Apartment Complex

"Baby"

"Baby, wake up," I heard a whisper close to my ear, and faint chatter in the background as I woke up from my slumber.

My eyes flutter open and I squint my eyes and see my friends sitting in the living room conversing in endless chatter. Lana was seated on the bed's edge as I look up.

"What time is it?" I ask while stretching arms across the bed causing my cami top rides up and cold air brushes against my skin.

Lana strokes my exposed belly as I yawned heavily and says, "Almost ten," she continues, "Come on sleepyhead, get up," before rising and joining them on the sofa.

9:59 p.m.

"You did what?" Lila asks Chuck outraged.

"Jay, you fucking blabbermouth!" Chuck exclaims at Jay. "I should've put your card instead!"

"Chuck!" Lana calls out trying to stiffle a laugh.

"What did she do now?" I say as I sit on the sofa, pulling a hoodie over my head.

"That bitch put my business card on the car she bumped into last week!" My eyes widened as Lila explained angrily.

that's kinda genius

"It's not like you haven't done it before!" Chuck exclaims.

"We haven't!" We all exclaim at the same time.

"That's why I've been receiving phone calls from this random number demanding that I pay for car damages!" Lila explains. "My car has been in the garage for the past month, it couldn't have been me!" she continues as we laugh hysterically.

"Allie, can't you arrest her or something?" Lila asks. "This is very much illegal."

"It is," I nod. "I could make a phone call and have you taken away," I turn to Chuck.

"Please do," Lana laughs as Chuck freaks out a little.

"But you won't, because your precious little heart won't let me spend the night in a jail cell, right?" she asks.

"My precious little heart couldn't careless about where you spend the night," I say. "Pay for the damages and never do that with any of our cards ever again"

"I don't even have yours," she mumbles. "I'll put a stranger's card next time"

Jesus Christ

11:17 p.m.

We had a couple of drinks and loosened up a little, and ended up in a circle on carpet in front of the sofa, attempting to play a game.

"I didn't bring my poker chips," Lila says as she shuffles the deck of cards.

"We're not playing regular poker," Jay says as she takes the deck from Lila. "We're playing a little game, I like to call, strip poker," she continues with a smirk.
