I quickly run upstairs before my parents ask any questions.
The letter says:

"to my darling, jade.
I know things didn't end so well between us but I wanna make it up to you. Meet me later at the park at seven? Come in your best dress or just as you are whatever it is you'll look beautiful"

- Serenity

I quickly scatter for clothes. I have to look my best for her. Does that mean she likes me? She sent me a letter and asked to see ME?!? Wait is this even real. I mean I don't like girls... is it even okay for me to like the same gender? On tv it's always the prince and the princes. The queen and king. A mother and a father. A male and a female. But never two women or two men or other.

Perfect. I find my red dress my mother gave me. It's a little tight but it's manageable.
*at the park*
I see her standing there like a bright star in the night. The water reflecting her delicate body. She's so perfect.

"I'm sorry" she mumbles
"It's fine really I don't min-
She grabs my hand as we walk over the bridge. I smile trying to hide my blush. She then turns to look at me, gazing at me, I don't notice until she tucks my hair behind my ear.
"You're so pretty"
I begin to blush not knowing what to say. Afraid the next words that come out of my mouth will be a mix of words. I just let everything go. And focus on what's in front of me, Serenity.
"I want you to be min-
thunder rolls into the sky. It then begins to rain. We quickly run to shelter. Seeing puddles form one by one.
"Hey the night isn't over yet. May I have this dance?"
She puts her hand in front of me, I grab onto it as if I trust her with everything I got. We start to dance in the rain as a young man plays his guitar.
She puts her hands on my waist as they sway to the music. She doesn't take her eyes off of me. I get nervous and look away. She places her hand on my chin, gracefully turning it back to her eyes. Her eyes as deep as the night sky. Now I'm really not able to take my eyes off of her. The next song we slow dance and she quietly whispers in my ear...
