She smiled at Hobi, and her expression was so beautiful and pure: "That's it? That's all you want?"

"Of course it is. That's something no one else can give me. You have the most beautiful smile in the world." She started blushing. "Come on, let's get you something to eat, and then we are going to go out somewhere I think you'll really love." He leaned in closer. "I'm taking you to a 24-hour bookstore."

She sat up quickly. "Really?" Hobi nodded his head yes, and she smiled at him so happily. "Oh, and can we go get a bacon cheeseburger? Joon got me one that first day, and it was so good." Then she clapped her hands together and started bouncing up and down. "And I wanted to try something called onion rings. I saw that on the menu yesterday, and it sounded interesting."

"If that's what you want, then of course, go get ready, and I'll meet you in the living room in 20 minutes." She nodded her head yes and was giggling just a bit. See, guys, I can make her happy, too, he grumbled to himself. Hobi grabbed some jeans and a shirt. He threw on a newsboy hat and some glasses, and then he was ready to go.

"Going somewhere?"

He looked at Yoongi and Jin, who had been acting strange the past few days. "Yeah, I'm taking Vi out for some time together. Why?"

They both shook their heads. "We were just wondering, that's all. How is she acting? Is she being good or a brat towards you?"

Hobi cocked his head to the side, "She's quite happy with me; I got her some gifts." Then he narrowed his eyes at them, "You two are acting weird; why?"

They both started stammering over their words, and he was about to push it, but Vi came skipping out to the three of them. "Jinnie, Yoongles, guess what?"

She was jumping up and down and grinning so big. Both of them said what, and then she squealed loudly. "Hobi got me my favorite books, and he's taking me to a bookstore for more. Oh, oh, and he said that I could try onion rings and have a bacon cheeseburger." She clapped her hands together and giggled, "Isn't that awesome?"

"It sure is," Jin said with a frown.

Yoongi walked toward her and pulled her in for a hug. "That sounds like so much fun. I'm glad you are happy. You two have a great time, okay, Princess?"

She pouted but nodded her head. He chuckled lightly and then kissed her quickly. She ran over and kissed Jin, then reached for Hobi's hand and dragged him out of the house.

"Do you think he started it?"

Yoongi looked at Jin and nodded his head slightly, "No, I think he took the time to figure her out, and he's trying to win her over the old-fashioned way—the way we should have."

Jin sneered a bit, "I don't regret what I did. And if you remember correctly, if it weren't for me, she wouldn't have gone with you so willingly."

Yoongi was pissed now; he stalked toward Jin and grabbed him by his shirt. Jin has a few inches on him, and he's the only one older than him, but when Yoongi is pissed, he seems 7ft tall. "You wouldn't have had to use your powers if you hadn't gone behind all of our backs and done what you did."

Jin roughly pushed Yoongi's hands off of him, "You have a lot of room to talk. You did the same thing not 24 hours after I did."

"I did it to ensure that we could because if we couldn't, we would have broken her Jin. If you'd stop being such a pompous ass, you'd realize it."

Vi was practically bouncing up and down in her seat. "We're going to get you food first, then we'll go shopping, okay?"

"That's perfect, Hobi; thank you for taking me out and letting me do something fun." She frowned a bit, and it looked like she was tearing up.

Hobi grabbed her hand, "what's wrong, Vi?"

She sniffled just a bit, "I grew up in a cabin in the woods; it wasn't until I was 16 that I even saw another person besides Nanny. She wanted to keep me safe, but she didn't trust anyone. But when I was 16, I ran away because she wasn't paying attention. There was a tiny town a few miles from the cabin; Nanny used to go there once a week to get supplies we couldn't grow or make ourselves. But she always left me behind." She started smiling, but it was a smile full of mischief, "I took off when she thought I was hunting. I made it into the town, amazed and slightly overwhelmed. So many people were bustling around, and I saw so many things that I had no idea what they were."

She turned to look at him, and he quickly wiped the tear falling down her cheek, "she found me not 10 minutes later, and she dragged me back to the cabin." Her smile was back, it was small, but at least there were no more tears, "damn, she beat the crap out of me that night. My butt was so sore that I couldn't sit down properly for a week."

Hobi shifted in his seat and had to close his eyes for a second; thank fuck they were at a red light. She must have noticed how uncomfortable he was and that he was not paying attention. She reached over and placed her hand on his thigh. "Hobi, are you okay?" She squeezed his thigh when he didn't answer, "I know you are a vampire, but you look hella pale right now."

That snapped Hobi out of it. He blew out his breath and then turned to look at her. "I'm good, I promise." He pulled into the fast-food restaurant. "Do you want to eat inside or get it to go and eat somewhere else?"

She tapped her chin a few times, "Hmm, well, where would we eat if we took it to go?"

It was his turn to grin, "I thought we could go to the park and look at the stars. How does that sound?"

"I'd love that Hobi."
